Peter Jackson doesn't really need to learn anything. LOTR had the best battle sequences until 300. Considering LOTR is based on the books, they really weren't absurd fighters like the Spartans.

That part made you feel hardcore?.....Simple minded you are. It was an alright movie, only 3 parts that actually made me go "Thats awesome", the rest was basically a joke, so many cheesy one liners, decapitations and slow mo.

not best ever, but it was really good. the way the Spartans fought was really smart, at the beginning when they pushed the guys back with their shields

they stayed with them till about 3/4 of the way, then they left, but they did nothing, killed 4 guys

Oh I comprehend this fact, I just never read the graphic novel either so I wondered if there was any mention of them in the movie and/or graphic novel.

lotr is loosely based on the book as far as im concerned. PJ turned the story into a siss fest

I haven't seen 300 yet but I don't think you can compare 300 with LOTR. I doubt 300 will make as much as any movie from LOTR series at the box office. It's off to a pretty good start. Estimates for opening weekend earnings for 300 are about $70 million. I think that's still below LOTR though.
