R.I.P. - The Lounge (2004-2010)

I wasn't going to post about this but I have to.

The last piece of old school gamespot is gone. The mods and admins shut us down. It was the longest running UCB on GS but they didn't care. They deleted everything even though we were willing to change.

Sadly, OTB may never be the same as a lot of OTB members were lounge members and I know they won't be on as much or at all anymore.

You may not care...which is fine. And I'm sure OTB will carry on....just sucks that some people won't be posting as much.

It was one of if not the longest running and largest boards on Gamespot. It was private meaning only members could see the board and post there. And a lot of people from OTB also posted there. That's really all you need.

No. In private UCB's you have to be on the board creator's friend list in order to post at or even see the board. If you aren't on the friend list the entire board is invisible to you.

I'm thinking about paying the money to make a ucb, the lesser plan is $19. Thats not bad.

But if I make another board, should we move off GS since we will be watched from the start im sure?

Well I was partly kidding, but I'm allergic to FB/myspace etc. :P

There's an OTB group over on Last.fm that a lot of people are already a part of, feel free to join it. I don't think having an OTB group on facebook is that great of an idea to be honest.

Honestly I don't know you well enough to add you on facebook. There's like 5 people from here I am friends with on facebook, all of whom I have known here for like 5 years, and that's really all I want. I prefer to keep my facebook more to my friends I know in real life if that makes sense, with a few exceptions. It's one of the reasons why I am not crazy about having an OTB group on facebook.

If you have a Twitter page I'll follow you on there though. Just PM me your page.

Or get a last.fm since I am friends with like 60 people from OTB over there.
