Well we have no Ravens fans here so I'll look up what they need. NFLDraftCountdown says the Ravens needs are: 1) QB, 2) CB, 3) DL

Vernon Gholston, Ohio St. - DE/OLB - Really came on last year. Great at rushing the passer, and is very quick. Has good upside to become a Shawn Merriman type player.
Leodis McKelvin, Troy - CB - Leodis didn't play the best of competition, but he has the skills. Played mostly man-man at Troy. Great speed, evidenced by his 8 kick/punt returns for TD's.
Sedrick Ellis, USC - DT - It has been back and forth between he and Dorsey for #1 DT. Ellis is a tad smaller (not much), but is still a monster. Played outstanding at the Senior Bowl.
Brian Brohm, Louisville - QB - To be honest he's not worthy of this pick, but I'll put him here anyways. Diminshed somewhat during his Senior year, but he is a smart player and has good enough arm strength.

2008 NFL Draft

1. Miami Dolphins - Chris Long - DE - Virginia
2. St. Louis Rams - Jake Long - OT - Michigan
3. Atlanta Falcons - Matt Ryan - QB - Boston College
4. Oakland Raiders - Glenn Dorsey - DT - LSU
5. Kansas City Cheifs - Ryan Clady - OT - Boise State
6. New York Jets - Darren McFadden - RB - Arkansas
7. New England Patriots (f/ SF 49ers) - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - CB - Tennessee St.

Gholston might be a nice pick, it would certainly give them a beastly LB corps. I could also see them trading down a bit to take Brohm. But I think McKelvin makes the most sense here.

I heard Chad Henne is the second best QB in this year's draft. But that's what the great Todd McShay said, so who knows. :)

As for my pick for the Ravens, I'm going with Sedric Ellis here.

Disregard those so called "experts" when they say that... Henne=second rounder.. If he's lucky.

I think McKelvin is the logical choice for them in this spot.

I'm gonna reach here and say they take Brohm. They are in desperate need of a QB cause McNair and Boller just can't seem to take them over the top.

Todd McShay is full of hot air. Anyways, I vote Gholston.

They will look to trade down for Henne and draft him in the teens. With this pick tho I say they take McKelvin. My wildcard for this pick is Malcolm Kelly.

I say McKelvin they have older Cb;s and not very good depth at the Cb position so I think he makes sense here.

Ellis is the best player left and he will be able to wreak some havoc in that motion blitz D. They still have Chris McAlister who I expect to bounce back fine so they dont need a #1 CB.

Assuming the top-7 have gone as projected (I have high doubts)... Sedrick Ellis, USC - DT.
Ravens may elect to trade down several spots if they can find a suitor.

If Ellis were here at 8, I would hope the Saints would do all they could to make a reasonable trade to get up, because Ellis will go with the next pick to the Bengals.

Well Leodis it is. Back to back CB picks, both from smaller schools.
