optimus elite for virgin mobile help

Hey guys, I went ahead and bought me a virgin mobile phone and got it up and running and the launcher it has the phone,app drawer, and my ID app.

I bought this phone to have as my personal media player so i dont have an account with virgin mobile I thought this looked like the best pmp.

So I wanted to use my usual launcher which is launcher pro but it doesnt show up when i hit the home button it just goes back to the home screen for the original launcher.

Does anyone know how I can work around it to use my favorite launcher?

Does anyone else even use this phone? Please help :(

By the way I tryed home switcher and that didnt work eather.
