Has anyone heard anything?  Here are my possible options.

Troy Smith, Chris Leak, Brady Quinn, Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Jarrett

I don't know...slim pickins this year I think.

Yup not alot out there this year. No real big frontrunner or frontrunners last year with Leinart/Young/Bush. I hope they get CJ but I dont see it happening.

Even though i'm not a Michigan fan, Hart would make a good cover athlete. The problem with that is the cover usually goes to an athlete who left school for the Nfl, so my guess is Calvin will be the 08 coverboy.

Calvin is not a bad choice. However isnt the Heisman winner the leading canidate for the cover or no?

It can't be a player still in college.  It violates NCAA rules.  So Hart, who wouldn't be on there anyway cause to be bluntly honest, isn't good enough, can't be on there because he is still in school.  If i were to put money on it i would say Quinn just because of his noteriety as a player and where he plays.  If Ohio St would have won, it more than likely would have been Smith or Ginn

I'd say Quinn or Johnson, with Adrian Peterson as the long shot to get the cover. But last year, they took a guy who was on the losing end of the BCS title game, which, on principle, would make Troy Smith the logical choice.

I hope it's neither Troy or Brady, because quite frankly, they weren't that good this year, despite the stats. Russle should get it.

I'm an ND fan too, but not getting the game because of the cover athlete is lame. I loved MVP Baseball 2005, and it had Manny Ramirez on the cover.

i bet its either troy smith or leak. probably leak since they won the national title and stomped smith's team to do it. personally, i hope they get away from the whole "football player on the cover" thing and realize to sell more games, you have to put real college cheerleaders on the cover.
