I don't know man, i would love for De La Hoya to win, but hes push'n 35 36 right bout now, so you no pretty boy is gone have the edge in speed, but De La Hoya is probally going to check Mayweathers chin a few times.  If it goes for distance i'm think'n Mayweather, if its a knockout type situation i'm goin De La Hoya.  Overall if i had to pick a winner i'd say Mayweather.

I casually follow boxing, but 50 Cent bet 1 mill on Mayweather, so I want De La Hoya to win.

Anyone who thinks De La Hoya will win is fooling themselves. This fight won't even be that close, and Mayweather will pound him.

This is a tough match-up Mayweather has never fought anyone the caliber of De La Hoya his toughest match-up so far has been Zab Judah and he smashed him the last half of the fight. De La Hoya has lost most of his big fights to Sugar Shane, B-Hop, but he did mash on Fernando Vargas I don't know my instincts are telling me that De La Hoya is going to win because Mayweather will underestimate him and fight him like he is washed up (actually he is kind of) , and he will end up getting his chin-checked in 7 rounds.

De La Hoya is 34 and I think he will win. (Mayweather is 30) They have the same reach and De La Hoya is a few inches taller. I saw this on Sports Center, but I dont know much more about them. I base my guess off of nothing.

I'm going with the DeLaHoya on this one, Mayweather needs to get off his high horse for Christ sakes; if he had fought the fighters DeLaHoya has fought he wouldn't be undefeated.

Mayweather has fought no-names most of his career and talks smack, Oscar has fought real contenders his career. Oscar hands down. Mayweather will eat his own words when he keels over tomorro

Well with Mayweather's dad being Oscar's former trainer, they actually know each other somewhat and Mayweather's dad (Mayweather SR.) knows Oscar's fighting style well so I might have to give the edge to Mayweather.  This fight is more about the money than it is the win.   BIG paycheck for both fighters.

I've been watching Mayweather/De la Hoya 24/7.(its a show on HBO) I would have to say the Golden Boy.  He looked great training and seemed very focused. Mayweather was just running his mouth the whole time.  He made a dumb move by not allowing his father(Mayweather Sr.) to train him.  He trained Oscar for 6 years and knows his whole style.  I hope Golden Boy shuts him up.

I hope De la Hoya will win although I would bet against him. Something I would even pay more to see is B-Hop vs Mayweather, man that guy is the best. Koed De la Hoya too so that's something to be proud of. Mayweather is just a little wimp taking on no names. Another match I would like to see is Ali vs Foreman man that would be awesome, Foreman would probably win this time lol. Maybe Tyson could take on ali's daughter... yeah he'd probably love that.

How could mayweather have won if he was running away across the ring like a puss* everytime he was about to get hit :| If it wasn't for DeLaHoya going after him, this match would have blown more hardcore than it already has.

Like De la Hoya said, if he didnt push Mayweather, there wouldnt have been a fight. Mayweather was all about technique, taking it easy the whole time. De la Hoya could have just as easily done the same thing, but he pushed Mayweather for more, seeing as how it was one of the biggest Fight in quite some time. However, De la Hoya should have thrown more jabs,k they were sure working, but he didnt. De la Hoya should have kept more pressure on mayweather, instead of looking at him half the time, and going all out in short burst that didnt have any effect on Mayweather.

In the end it was a horrible fight, all the hype leading up to it and Mayweather ruined it. Sure it was a great technique, but for such a historical fight, it was a disappointment.

that was the worst  mega fight i've ever seen.  neither fighter did a thing.  mayweather won by default cause he landed more punches even though none of them came close to hurting oscar.  i can't believe i wasted a 10 dollar cover charge to watch this thing.  I hope there isn't a rematch.  He needs to fight mosley.  However that fight might even be more boring cause they are even more similar in talent.

Ya except for the part that Mayweather dominanted in the middle of the ring.   Floyd didn't run when they were in the middle because Floyd was able to do whatever he chose to do.  And you can't blame Floyd for not wanting to get into a brawl with a bigger man.

Floyd won the fight atleast 116-112.  Seems like Oscar stole a few rounds due to his last 5 second bursts(which never hurt Floyd, that's why I didn't give Oscar the rounds for these bursts) and the obviously bias crowd going nuts whenever Oscar breathed on Mayweather probably altered the judges opinions.

You don't award Oscar the win because he flailed his arms around more.  You give Mayweather the win because he controlled the middle of the ring and landed 100 more punches.

its obvious you are a mayweather fanboy and blind if you think it was 116-112... im a mayweather fan but what you just said is RIDICOLOUS...

I thought a draw or Oscar won.. one of the two..... Mayweather ran away like a puss

That was the most dissapointing performance I've seen in a while. Floyd talked all that crap about knocking oscar out and all he did was run......What a joke. Oscar made the fight. Floyd ruined it. I thought before the fight that I would gain respect for floyd for beating oscar. But I didn't...Floyd fought scared thus making it a really bad fight. Worst $55 I've ever spent.
