LT said "no" to being on the cover of Madden 08

I don't have a link, but heard it on NESN last night. It is not known if he didn't like the amount of money being offered or because of the Madden curse. Sorry if old news, but I think he did the right thing saving his next season.

I agree. He did nothing to deserve the cover. Beating some mediocre teams doesn't count.

the madden curse huh? whatever happened to the possibility of someone getting hurt cus they just got hurt hard, or fell wrong? I believe its just a coincidence, but you can argue that by saying that its happened for so long and yada yada, all i have to say is Eddie George, he helped the titans to the superbowl the year he was put on the cover.Sports_N_E_1

Because players from the other team were mocking one of his teammates and celebrating on the Chargers' logo. That's like saying T.O. didn't deserve to get hit after celebrating a TD in the middle of the field after a TD versus the Cowboys several years ago. It was a direct insult to the Chargers what some of the Patriots players did. I'm not necessarily condoning what he did, but I understand his frustration.

 You're right, one incident trumps all the unselfish stuff he's done. He celebrated his TD record with his O-line, he doesn't do some overly time consuming and convoluted celebration when he scores.Yup, he's an attention hog :roll:
