Whenever I go to the individual boards, I almost always see a comments similar to:

"Gamespot is the last place I go for reviews."

"I can't stand Gamespot. They advertise too much."

"Gamespot reviews are too inconsistant. I prefer IGN."

Seriously, what is with all this Gamespot hate over there?

Who knows? I know that some of the most ignorant posts I have seen have been from the GameFAQs/individual boards.

It has something to do with the merging of GameSpot's boards with GameFAQS'. Basically, a lot of the FAQS people, for some very strange reason, feel as though GameSpot is "taking over" their site. As a result, many of them have sworn off this site and are often quite snooty with any of us GameSpotters.

You know... because there aren't already enough reasons for people to subclassify and hate one another. It's a really noble thing, this rivalry.

Amen to that. I stay away from the individual boards because of that. I've had way too many bad experiences with gamefaq people being complete A-holes. Even for the simplest of questions or comments.
