The real competition is between the Supes Nes and PS1.

BTW you have Chrono Trigger as a Snes exclusive and that game's on PS1, and the same with FF I II, IV, V and VI. And you forgot about lots ofgreat games like Fear Effect 1 & 2, Tomba, Persona 1 &2,Silent Hill, etc. for PS1 and Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia, EVO, Dragon Quest V, VI,etc. for the Snes, etc. etc.

There. ALL consoles have good exclusives, so let's start there. However, the Nintendo 64 has a different set of exclusives. Though Perfect Dark and Goldeneye split screen is harder to play these days because of smoother fps gameplay, 4 player splitscreen was unheard of and an absolute joy. This is something that isn't done hardly anwhere anymore, and even when it is, it is tacked on and the levels aren't designed for 4 players.

Starfox 64 remains one of the greatest shooters ever made, to this day. Wave Race, same thing--though it can be said that Blue Storm improved upon the game, which it did in ways if you find 4 die-hard wave racers, but imo it just doesn't have as much character. Super Mario 64 will end up in a museum some day, if it hasn't already. That game is as close to gaming as an art form that i've ever come across playing. Blast Corps is another cl@ssic that is yet to be replicated.

I understand the library is smaller than most, but some of the games on the N64 are just so well produced in terms of original game design, audio, visual, and control mechanics that I feel it is a notch above the rest.

The PS1 is my favourite console, but, still, in a photo finish, the N64 gets my vote.

Diablo isn't exclusive to the Playstation, it was ported from the PC. But, I'd vote for Sega Genesis due to the fact I love Sonic games.

I did say not counting Arcade & PC at the beginning of my post, that's why I included it.

I think even the rereleased Dreamcast games should count. Man, that game had some CL@SSICS! Shenmue was such a different experience than anything else, EVER. And I think that those are the exclusives that hold up the best--experiences that you can't have anywhere else.

I mentioned re-released Dreamcast games, but I only named them under the Dreamcast release, not the Gamecube or PS2 releases.

All re-released years later on future consoles. If I went by that list, that would eliminate 80% of exclusives. We could elimate nearly every Zelda, Mario, Mega Man, Sonic, Metal Slug, Neo-Geo, and Sega game on that list.

Then shouldn't Half life 2 be on Xbox?

I'd choose N64 quite easily. Considering it didn't really have many multiplats, and is still one of the best, or the best console ever.

Emerald, I couldn't help but notice you listed Metal Gear Solid and Diablo as exclusives for PSX. This is false information as they were both available for and superior on the PC.

Emerald, I couldn't help but notice you listed Metal Gear Solid and Diablo as exclusives for PSX. This is false information as they were both available for and superior on the PC.

Emerald_Warrior

As is every XBox game and half of the list. Must not have read the whole post before the list, huh?

not every xbox game was on the PC...but yeah...way too many were on the PC

PC isn't a game console. Also, I'd like to add that Metal Gear really didn't benefit that much from pc--if you enjoy extremely blurry textures, I suppose.

it's still a gaming system and in the end metal gear looks better on the PC then it does on the PS1, even if for the mere fact that you can up the resolution thereby decreasing the jaggies

I'm a huge psx fan so that's what I'm going to vote for. Samslayer

Same here. Since I was big on JRPGs back then, the PSX seemed like the greatest system ever. Since several of the RPGs only had Saturn versions in Japan (Lunar 1+2 remakes, Grandia, Suikoden), they were exclusive to the psx for all practical purposes in North America.

I don't know about exclusives, but the Dreamcast was my favorite.

I don't know, but I'm going to save your lists for future reference. For me, it would be between the SNES and the PS1, but then again I was never a Sega kind of guy.

This topic was sort of refreshing. Branching off to talk about the pc is pointless--I must have glossed over it.

it's possible, but I wasn't the one who started the PC conversation and I wasn't defending or attack the rule the TC set, I was simply saying that the Xbox had way too many games that ended up on the PC

though if you want my oppinion the PC is the best bideogame system ever made

I don't understand how that works. It's an evolving platform, more of a setup than a system. If it is worded that way, I'll state that my PC SYSTEM is from 2005 and isn't all that great.

I don't want to derail this topic, so I'm just going to say that it all depends on what you want out of your PC

I own 11 consoles and a PC, and I prefer my PC, but also because I ugrade it every 4/5 years or so
