gta SA took like a year
parasites eve
fata frame
silent hill
resident evil
each took atleast 2+ years didnt use stratagy guids or anything(wasnt even aware of youtube at the time)
sorry but thats hard to believe alma, pending game play is one thing and completing it is another, how can anybody could possibly take time in finishing a barely 4 hour games like resident evil? also silent hill could not take long time, and lastly i myself started watching youtube for game vids only recently i never required anything else but faqs and cheats at best for completion. on a /note i sure hope fatal frame is scary.ambitiousknighti normaly got stuck on something and when i didnt complete it i stopped playing and returned.even if im not playing it my completion time is ticking.these days i do 2 hour speed runs of them
if i go with your style alma it could be years for me, i got too many ps2 games un-played and unfinished cause i prefer playing rpgs only.ambitiousknightdepends on what you mean by style i'll water it down for you.i was born in 93 those games were released between 96-2000. do the math on the years to today.but i just cant get enough of these gems and i guess the elder scrolls saga
actually i was referring to in-game clock time, nevermind alma i just pointed something else.ambitiousknightyea i miss read ingame clocked time i have 2050hours logged into oblvion
2050? thats impossible.ambitiousknightnegative. thats alittle over 83 days worth of game time all together
then wow, i am sure i won't be able to clock over 300 in any game, and now i wonder if ps3 games are this long.ambitiousknighti logged even longer into WoW. find ways to make a game fun if you have it on computer just modd it into the ground it's fun
I've clocked in over 240 hours in Dragon Quest IX, which is the longest I've ever played a single file for in any game. I beat the game at around the 40 hour mark, but as we all know, the joy of DQ9 is the post-game content.
I've clocked in about the same if not more in other games through subsequent playthroughs or New Game+, like Persona 3 (7 runs, ~300 hours), Persona 4 (4 runs, ~230 hours), Final Fantasy IX (~10 playthroughs, ~450 hours or more), as well as many others.
In recent memory it would be skyward sword with around 93 hours. I 100%ed one file, beat hero mode, and am almost 100% done a third file.
Dragonquest 8 I have about 110 hrs, Rogue Galaxy I have around 100 hrs, and FF tactics for GBA I have 160+ hrs.
I've done around 9 or 10 completionist (ie, 30+ hours) playthroughs of Mass Effect 2, which is rather scary, at least 300 hours right there. After that, not sure, I spent around 150-200 hours each on Morrowind and Oblivion, and am nearing that point with Skyrim as well, and around 100 hours on the original Mass Effect and the original Deus Ex, although the latter would include The Nameless Mod as well, which is around 15-20 hours in itself.
Most recently, I just sunk 80+ hours into Twilight Princess. Brilliant game. It is unlike me to do that in this day and age.
While I haven't finished it, I have logged over 500 hours in Flight Simulator. It would take an insane amount of time to fly between all the airports in it (24,000 of them).
hmmm. single player, kingdom hearts 1 and 2 had about 60+ hours each and mgs4 and uncharted 2 have about the same from replaying.
multiplayer/online however starcraft 1 and cod4 take the cake.
i think it would be dragon quest 8 or final fantasy 12 or dragon quest 9 as i have clocked around 100 in one of them, really miss the ds.ambitiousknightI completed Vagrant Story 13 times boosting armour getting the best weapons in Damascus, powering up everything. Best guess spent over 1000 hours as I maxed the clock out at 99 hours almost each playthrough. All the stats and gear carry over, I couldn't help it. Otherwise I guess FFX which was 325 hours. Took ages to get all my stats to maximum by changing all the spheres. Killing the Final Boss in two hits from Yuna's normal attack at 99,999 damage a piece was totally worth it though.
wish I had that kind of time now days lol.
On a single playthrough, both Xenoblade Chronicles and Tales of Vesperia were completed at approximately 180 hours.
I hate to admit this one, but I have 400 hours on Dark Cloud 2 and I still haven't even finished the game.
If we included MMOs, then these times would be nothing. I have a little over 1,000 hours on Guild Wars and 4,000 hours on World of Warcraft. I'm pretty much done with both of those games though.
Fallout 3. I've put nearly 100 hours worth of gameplay into each playthrough, and I've completed it, and the DLC, about 4 times.
