if anyone has a suggestion of where one should NEVER buy games, post here. Wal-Mart is a big no-no for me, they have broken so many labor laws i cant name them all, but you can find some of them here: http://wakeupwalmart.com/facts/

I agree, you should never buy games at wal-mart. Game stop or best buy are the best places to buy games. wal-marts prices are sometimes higher than other places. plus fry's electronic store has a great selection of games.

Gamestop, unless they have a game you can't find anywhere else. Walmart. And lastly target. In fact, if it's not a store dedicated solely to games, electronics, or entertainment (movies, music, games) don't buy them there.

gamestop, I bought resident evil 4 there for 18 used, when it was 20 new, and it didn't even come in the original case or have a manual. I only bought it because no other store by me had it, and best buy or circuit city are another 15 minutes away.

I buy all of my games from Amazon.com.I am not ashamed of buying used titles all of the time.I say Target.I saw a copy of crackdown new for 60 bucks when you can easily get that game for about 20 now.

I can't really think of a place where I won't buy games from. Of course I do have places that I'll use as a last resort for hard to find titles. I mostly buy my new games at Wal-mart since it's closest to where I live and they typically keep well stocked with the games I like and their prices are usually the best. Sometimes I'll get a good deal at Futureshop. For times when I'm doing trade-ins or getting a used title I go to Blockbuster. EB is my last resort kind of place for new games, trade-ins, and used games.

Gamestop/EB. They open factory sealed games, put the discs behind the counter and the empty case on the rack and sell it as "new." My copy of Persona 3 had finger prints all over the disc. When I buy a new game, I want it to be factory sealed.

Those are pretty much my sentiments on the matter. That's why I always buy my games from Target, Walmart, Circuit City, or Best Buy.

I buy wherever is cheapest, but I tend to consider Walmart a last resort.

I hope most of you will stop avoiding Gamestop...but that's simply because I own stock there and would like larger profit margins.

FYE. Their prices are always different than what registers up when you go to pay for it. Bought Red Faction II yesterday and the box said 9.99, came out to be 6.99 (but not complaining about that drop :D) But I've seen stuff say 29.99 and register for the full 59.99.

For me, it's K-Mart and Wal-Mart. I feel that both of them have expensive games and never lower their prices. K-Mart is truly the worst of them all. I'll go there and see if their video games have dropped. All I see is $59.99 and some of them been there for more an year.

Place not to buy games: Wal Mart, Target, Game Stop, K-Mart, Toys R Us

Places to get games: ONLINE, Electronic Boutique, College towns tend to have a lot of used/trade in stores, thats where I get all my games. It is called Slackers it is glorious.

I (fortunatly) have never had that happen to me. It's probably your FYE only. That or the staff is too damn lazy to update the price tags every now and then.
