What game companies are the best and worst in your opinion?

All encompassing as far as quality of games, support, innovation etc...

I'll give you mine. It's actually changed over the years. EA and Blizzard used to be very good but I think they are some of the worst these days. Mainly due to their attitudes towards customers etc..

Kind of sticking with the heavy hitters. Tehre are actually a lot of smaller developers i like these days. Games like guild wars and torchlight are from much small high quality developers for example but these companies need more than one game...

I am a PS3 owner and sometime PC gamer. In my opinion the best games companies are;

1) Rocksteady

I've played two Rocksteady games on the current console, the two Batman games which as far as I am aware are the only games they have made for this platform, and they have been excellent games. In fact I think one of the best things about Rocksteady is the fact that they have managed to take a character like Batman, and produce a game which not only tops every other related game that has come before, but also made two games which will appeal to a much broader audience too. Also there is the fact that despite making a sequel they never made the average sequel of similar gameplay or styiling with a new setting but actually worked to improve on what they had which is rare for most publishers who are happy to knock out similar games.


2) Naughty Dog

I'm a big fan of the Unchartered series of games on this console, but also going back to the PS2 and original Playstation and the likes of Crash Bandicoot, etc, I really struggle to find a game they have made that I have played and disliked. Yes I may have not been very good at them but it still doesn't disguise what is a gaames company capable of being innovative (look at the forthcoming 'Last Of Us' as an example), but also seems to genuinelly care about the product rather than just seeing it as a way of generating income.

Worst: Electronic Arts, Bethesda, Capcom, Activision, Ubisoft

My favourite is Ubisoft. They made such amazing franchises like Prince of Persia, Assassins Creed, Splinter Cell and now the awesome Watch Dogs. They're the most consistant too.

I know people are going to say something stupid like EA or Capcom but the worst is easily stupid rip offs like Zynga and Gameloft who just make rip offs of whatever is popular. That isn't talent or pushing the industry in any good way.

I know some of these are publishers and some are the actual developers, but in all seriousness, its the publishers that give all faith in the developer that either made or broke their franchise.
