the first game you ever bought?

Minewas back on the old MegaDrive(genesis). I was 13 and had an MD for christmas that year.I started a eveneing and weekend job working for a local butcher after school a few hours an evening. I was paid, and i'm sure this iskin with child labour wages, 1.25 sterling an hour!!and still did around 20 hours a week back then!but, i was the only kid in school with my own money though. Any way, I remember reading a review, in a mag called Mean Machines(anyone Remember?), of a game called Flashback. An action puzzler platform game. it looked awesome and had, probably one of the first uses of cutscenes and a proper movie like plot on a console. that impressed me. So i had to save and eran the money to buy this game for myself. on my wages, lol took me about 4 weeks. but that was my first ever game purchase. and it was worth all the hard work.

Anyone else have stories like this?

I think the first game I bought with my own money was Toejam & Earl.

With my own money? I think it was Donkey Kong 64.

The first game I bought with my own money was Super Metroid for the SNES. Up to that point my parents bought all of my games.

I believe it was Super Smash Brothers Melee as my first console was the gamecube (my brothers had a ps1, ps2, snes and genesis but that was the first console that was mine) and I just needed that game cause I played it in the N64.

I think the first one I got was SNES Mega Man X.

I'm still quite young so my dad used to buy my games when I had a Megadrive.

The first game I bought on my own was on the PS1, it was called Loaded (anyone know it? lol)

Super mario world : ). It was great.

It might have been Police Quest in 1987, but my dad probably bought that.

Next in line probably would've been Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt which came bundled with my NES in 1988.
