@deviantlime707: There's some interesting characters, dialog, and story. It's a very big game that's fun to explore and the graphics look excellent. Combat is pretty good. My only gripe was that there's a lot of gathering that can sometimes feel a bit monotonous but it really didn't bother me too much.
@deviantlime707: If you like controlling a group of characters, get it. If you're looking for a more traditional RPG, get Witcher 3
Definitely get it. It's a great RPG. Great story, characters, gameplay, all that. It gets tedious at times, especially with resource gathering and a few of the side quests, but in spite of that, it's still great.
It's a mediocre game, so if you really want to play it you should get it heavily discounted on sale since it being cheap would make it worth getting. Dragon Age Origins plus its DLC and expansion Awakening is one of the best games ever made, so you play play it first. The choices you make in Origins and Dragon Age 2 can also carry over to Inquisition. DA:Origins complete collection is usually $5-$10 during most sales.
No idea what mgools is talking about though. Either he's confused or he's posting from a madhouse.
@gkmogglemog: I agree with mgools, and I've played played all 3 games, expansion included, to completion. I love Origins, but Inquisition has it beat in everything but the main story, IMO.

The character design, story, writing, gameplay, classes, dialogue choices, some area design, most companions (I did love a few of the companions, like Dorian and Bull for example, but overall the Origin characters were better), game depth, personal character story, beginning and ending were all better in Origins.
About the only things I can think of that were better in Inquiz is the graphics power and a few of the companions.
@gkmogglemog: let's agree to disagree then. While the companions and main story were slightly better in Origins, I found the gameplay much more engaging and deeper than most people realize, the writing just as great as ever, the overall level design was much better done I think, and the personal stories of Inquisition's cast mattered much more to me than those of Origins. I don't know what else to say, I just like the game a lot better, even after recently replaying Origins.
I liked it, and kinda didn't like it. Overall, it's a good game. There's a lot of filler, shouldn't have been open world and so on and so forth, but if you stick to the main quests, and some larger 'story' connected side quests, and steer clear of all the completely useless fetch-quests and crap, you might like it. Assuming you're into swords and magic and all that. The ending falls flat though. It's like the developers just kinda said 'meh' near the end and left it at that. Not sure if the expansions are any good.
I enjoyed it. I still think about it from time to time, which must count for something. But it is definitely flawed. I recommend skipping a of the fetch quests ("get some wool!") - try to role play, and do that stuff more when it suits your fancy than as a chore and you'll feel less bogged down. There's a lot to like if you can get past the fluff. There are better RPGs to choose from
