This is pretty random but does anyone know if Nintendo owns the rights to Resident Evil 0, or would Capcom be free to re-release or remake the game for other systems?

I don't think Nintendo owns the rights to the game, but they probably had an exclusivity contract preventing it from being released on non-Nintendo platforms.

Still, I don't think they'd re-release it elsewhere. It was built from the grouns up for the N64 (and then Gamecube), and was never a major title in the series - so it would take a lot of porting work to make a game that relatively few fans will play.

@Planeforger: Yeah, although they are re-releasing the GC RE-make of 1 on PC, RE: 0 was kind of forgettable so I don't know if they'd bother to put in the effort.

I think your right. The same thing applies to Twin Snakes for the Gamecube.
