has anyone read the new GI. they listed a few games that they say aren't as good as the rep they get. 1 of those said games was 007 goldeneye. They said it was something to the effect of garbage. Now i've played 007 as recently as last week. it is still a solid FPS considering it's like 10 yrs old. Thoughts????

Eh, the writer likely was terrible at, and decided to get his revenge on the game now.

Meh. Goldeneye WAS awesome in 1998. And after the last 10 years we've all been spoiled by full screen gameplay, amazing graphics, etc. The bar has been upped. My friends and I cranked up the N64 a while ago and we were all really stoked to play Goldeneye. We played a few games and the mutual feeling was meh.....

They said that their pretty sure that no one has played it since 98 and I don't think I have, so it's hard to say how I would respond to it now-a-days. I enjoyed the sacred cow roast, especially Smash Brothers, that's a game that deserves all the crap ever said about it.

Ya here's my thoughts: don't listen to GI's Sacred Cow BBQ! Like you see those roasts on tv, they're just roasting critically-acclaimed games. The whole purpose is to anger gamers that love those games/series! It's kind of a joke; get it? Haha?

Goldeneye multiplayer was good, but the story mode felt like they held back a little in comparison.

While I'm not going to agree with the writer, but Goldeneye does feel a little too slow, and the graphics could use an update, and if you were to compare it to fps' of today, it doesn't do too well. But considering that it is a 10 year old game, it still does very well, and the gameplay still holds, even if it is a tad bit slow for me. It is far from garbage, and I know a lot of people are wondering if it's going to get a remix of sorts on one of the consoles here, maybe update the speed of the game and the graphics.
