PS3 Or Xbox 360 - I need advice

I have a choice between buying a PS3 or an Xbox 360. My friends say i should buy an xbox 360 but im a fan of the MGS (Metal Gear Solid) games and the new Mgs game will only be out on PS3. Xbox seems to have mostly the same games as PS3. Im looking foward to Assassins creed which will be on both consoles. Im also interseted in Halo 3 and Resistance fall of man.

What console should i buy? (im looking for some advice)

Just read up on the two systems and their libraries and pick one. Remember that you're buying the console for yourself, and that kind of nullifies what we (or your friends) have to say about it.
