I have been a dedicated pokemon fan over the years. I personally love the original 150 pokemon, and think the others later created are mediocre. Just wondering if anyone agrees. What is your favorite generation of pokemon?

how could you be dissapointed with heartgold/soulsilver ? its an updated version of the best games ever, to each his own i guess and i gotta say the original I guess I just never really got into that version. I didn't enjoy the pokemon in it as much and thought the storyline was pretty weak
First gen had the basics of more mythical creatures, but 2nd gen. has more natural monsters (Stantler, Pineco, Aipom) and introduced Dark, Dragon, and Steel pokemon. You can also go back to Kanto so its the best of both worlds. Soulsilver and Heartgold were good remakes they didnt stray...
Each generation of Pokemon games has been better than the one before. Which of course means that my favorite is the current gen (Diamond/Pearl/Platinum/Heart Gold/Soul Silver). And I hope the next generation follows this trend.
we i personally liked the 2nd generation games cause of feraligatr but i gotta go with the first cause its got the most variety. and is anyone else disapointed that diamond/pearl didnt bring in a new fire pokemon? (not including added evolutions or legendaries)
