I’ll start off with Igor from Persona franchise. I was first introduced to him in Persona 4 Golden. Mysterious character, creepy voice, but charming in a weird way. He’s a series staple and definitely one of the most interesting characters in gaming. How about you, GD? What characters come to mind for you?

Certainly Gordon Freeman. Fascinating in the first game, as the second.

Wesker from Resident Evil. This guy is very mysterious as he always is.

@warmblur: certainly; BTW they released MK Trilogy on GOG very recently. And not the DOS version. Just was wondering if you heard about it.

Maybe it's just because Im in the middle of the game, but Jesse Faden from Control. Thrust onto a weird situation, surrounded by a buncha criptic fuckers, at the same time being really criptic with the player about her own history, and yet ends up feeling right at home in this unsettling world. She's pretty cool.

Nil from Horizon Zero Dawn. I don't know why but I found that mad-man/psycho fascinating.

  • BJ Blazkowitz from the Wolfenstein reboots. Polish Half-Jew raised in rural Texas, all-American asskicking soldier. Put into the thick of it and ends up becoming this Nazi-killing demi-god legend. Say what you want about the game, but he is a fascinating character with an interesting background and it's been interesting seeing his character development.
  • Gordon Freeman. Has never said a single word, yet his actions speak volumes.
  • Various Bioware party members:
    • Garrus: starts off as a cop, gets jaded, becomes an epic vigilante...he sticks around for the entire series and is a great part of the franchise. Oddly enough he isn't my favorite to have along in my party, but I did enjoy his story and company.
    • Leliana. Comes along as a humble bard with a religious streak, ends up becoming this uber bad-bitch spymaster that has a major leadership role. Lots of great dialogue with her, tons of sexual tension haha.
    • There's a lot more. Honestly Bioware has had some of the more memorable characters in all of gaming history.
  • Kassandra from AC Odyssey. One of the more memorable main characters in the AC series. I think she had a far superior voice actress compared to the male option, and her character was super interesting and badass. Plus, I love strong women. Not bodybuilders, but you know...girls that lift and kick ass.

I know lots of cool characters, but it's hard to say anyone that are interesting. But if I had to pick, I would probably go with the little girl you play as in Little Nightmares. It's a fascinating world that's very reminiscent of Studio Ghilbi films to me.

Dr. Breen is interesting.

1. His design is a fairly generic looking old man

2. He doesn't believe he's the bad guy

3. He technically did save humanity

4. Gordon Freeman could potentially cause the end of it

5. He attempts to reason with Gordon Freeman

6. He's not actually the main villain

7. Both he and Gordon Freeman strive for the same purpose

Classic live on your something something or die on your something something...

The writing for this character is low-key top tier.
