IGN is reporting that the PSP version of Manhunt 2 has been successfully hacked to reveal the A/O content responible for the effective ban of this piece of IP earlier this year. They are also reporting that the hackers in question are well underway with a PS2 hack.

Oh god, Jack Thompson's gonna be all over this, saying that little kids will buy Pro Action to kill people quite easily. It's not that easy and not meant to be seen by the player. I had a GameShark once, and I couldn't figure out how it worked. How much better will a little kid do?

The media will have a field day with this. I think Joystiq coined this "Hot Pliers."

Not really though.

Its just unblurring the kill sequences. Other than that anything Rockstar cut out of the game is gone, of which there is rumored to be plenty.

This probably wont be as bad as hot coffee but it's just stupid on both sides. Stupid that Rockstar doesn't cover themselves better and stupid that the hackers don't care at all and decide to just exploit this.

I bet we'll be seeing those stupid news reporters saying,"A KIDS game which was censored has been haxxored. Will kids play it and go crazy? We tell you why. Also, we decide to blame GTA for 9/11".

The main problem with that for me is when they say it's a KIDS games, it just annoys me. Morons.

What? Oh god, no. This is why ignoring Thompson won't work on our part: because everyone else is treating him like he's an expert in the field. We need to start a petition to get his right to practice law revoked, because ignoring him seems to do no damage. We're not fighting FF5's Gogo here :P.

"Adults Only", the harshest rating a game can recieve from ESRB. Most publishers don't allow AO games on their consoles, and 99% of retailers refuse to carry AO games.

I bet these DEV's did it on purpose. I mean why couldnt they have..removed that content? It's obviously not hard to hack their crappy coded games.

I'm guessing Sony and Microsoft are among these publishers, right?

rockstar wants it to be hacked so they can sell it as Mature and then have it be hacked as A/O which otherwise can't be sold and this way their hands are clean because they didnt' do anything wrong and the players are happy. Everyone wins. Good job Rockstar. I have a hacked Manhunt 1 video which doesnt' blur anything out. It's not even that gruesome. C'mon I have seen worse stuff than this game by FAR in other games! A bat to the face is supposed to be worse than a chainsaw in Gears which cuts people in half?

have you seen Pan's Labyrinth? If children can watch that, they can play any 'game'.

Eh, the Netherlands said they'd retail the uncut version, so ifI ever feel like playing Manhunt 2 I'll just hop over the border and buy it there.
