So, I have both a PS1 and a GBA and I want to try out the Lunar games.

I've heard Lunar Legend is a pretty stripped down remake, but is it still worth it? Have the gameplay and story been changed significantly? Or if I have the option, should I go for SSSC on the PS1?

Ive never played the GBA version , but given how stripped down it is, id got for the PS1 version , if only for the extra stuff that comes with the game , and the FMVs which actually add to the game , unlike many games where its just for show.

Silver Star Story Complete is my favorite game of all time... Legend was a travesty.

I've got Lunar SSSC for the PS1 as well as Lunar 2 Eternal Blue Complete. These are great games and the collectible complete packages are excellent bonuses. I acquired Lunar SSSC used but it had all the extras. I got L2EBC new, even got the Galleon punching puppet extra because I reserved it.

If you want to play a Lunar game and have to choose between GBA and PS1, go with the PS1. The game has some great visuals with some gorgous animated cut-scenes and compitent VO work which you wouldn't get to hear or see on the GBA. If you can, try to get all the collectible stuff.

Wether or not the PSP game is the best is irrelevant. He wants to know which he should take in a choice between the PS1 and GBA games.

That can be very well be true, specially since it wasn't translated by Working Designs, like the Playstation version, so maybe this time around you can actually get to read the original script by Game Arts, and not all that nonsense ever present in WD translations.

OK, thanks for the replies. I hadn't heard much about Legend. I'll look for Silver Star Story Complete then. :D
