(in order of importance)
* cooperative game play
* a good story
* not fighting (like mortal kombat)* not sports
* not racing
* not combat sim
Thanks!

no fighting?
That pretty much rules out everything. Suggest reading a book.... You can read it out loud for coop play.
Katamari Damacy, or We Love Katamari might be up your alley.johndoh4
wikipedia says this of We Love Katamari: "In addition to the standard, single-player mode, this game features a two-player cooperative gameplay option, in which each player controls half of the katamari. Players must work together to effectively maneuver the ball."
While innovative, this isn't what I'm looking for.
did Champions of norrath call to arms contain co-op?hot114
Yes it does have co-op, and a pretty decent decent story line too. Has good character creation options as well...
This is the game I would recommend
What do you mean by no fighting?nVidiaGaMer
Fighting like, say, mortal combat.
I would reccommend Twisted Metal 2 and Future Cop LAPD.nVidiaGaMer
both of these games have multiplayer but neither seems to have cooperative play. Working together, not killing each other.

Wrong they both have co-op and they are some of the best co-op games ever.
[QUOTE="Threesixtyci"]that was needlessly unpleasant. Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is two player coop. Can it be the only one? Not unpleasant, really. I took as tongue-in-cheek and kind of funny. As far as the topic goes? I'm stumped.no fighting?

[QUOTE="Leon7J7"]Try ratchet deadlocked....Thats the game for you!paulb104
Gamespot says "Ratchet: Deadlocked picks up shortly where Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal left off."
Should I/we play the other three games to better enjoy the game and its story?
No ratchet deadlocked is like a different story because he gets kidnapped and is forced to fight....it's all based off of that you don't need to play the other 3 to get the story.
Get Rachet and clank 3 i have and rocks its one of the bets plafromers. Mgs rock two get the second one.
Rachet and clank 3naju890_963
Ratchet and Clank 3, or as known in many places as Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal is a single player game. As mentioned in my first message which started this thread, I need a multiplayer. Plus the multiplayer needs a co-op mode.
Mgs rock two get the second one.naju890_963
I don't know what game you are referring to.
(in order of importance)
* cooperative game play
* a good story
* not fighting (like okami or mortal kombat)* not sports
* not racing
* not combat sim
Thanks!

Sorry, haven't found a good game that isn't a fighting one. Oh, and a non sport, non fighting game? Well, you can always try tetris...oh, wait, a good story... nah. Basically, I have yet to play a game that isn't a fighting one, a racing one or a sport game that has a good story.
EDIT: maybe Crash Bash for the PS1?
There are plenty of good games that don't have fighting in them. The problem with the World today is that the majority of gamers only look for games with fighting, hence games that require a bit of intelligence like adventure games go the way of the DODO. It's a sad World we live in. GOD the 80's and early 90's were a great time, I miss the golden age of gaming.

Well, I thought it was funny....
Ico is obviously short for something but I do not know what.paulb104
Heh. I think it's the MC's name. Although, I think the developers orginally considered the name to be the castle's name. But, it it has fighting/combat (3 hit combo, MGS style) and no coop play for the US version; only the Pal region got a form of coop play and a weak form, at that. Majority of it is slow platforming puzzle solving. ...kinda like Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, but much, slower. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/adventure/ico/index.html?tag=result;title;0
Culdcept is the only thing I can think of (1-4 player/board game)... but I doubt it'll meet the good story requirement; although, it does have a story. And no coop play, either....only, player to player. http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/strategy/culdcept/index.html?tag=result;title;0
