As the title suggests, I'd like to hook 2 original xboxes for some 8 player action. Only problem is, I'm not entirely sure how to do that. Do you just use a patch cable or is it more complicated than that?

Thanks in advance.

You plug the ethernet port on both Xboxes into your router. I don't think you can connect them directly but might be wrong.

Edit: You actually can just connect them together but you need Xbox system lync cable. I think this might be the same as a normal ethernet crossover cable, which would probably sold for cheaper than something made specifically for Xbox.

Thanks for the info. Pretty sure my dad has crossover cables I can borrow, but if he doesn't I could always use my router.
