an actual fair review site to look to when deciding if the game isn't just another generic clone? Just taking a quick glance at all their past ratings though very extensive and the games go back to the late 90's I can't believe any one can take a gaming review site, such as 1UP, seriously when it hands out a score of 10 like its the Mexican Paso...seriously >>> http://www.1up.com/do/sortIndex?&f=6&ct=REVIEW&o=t&f=6 . Gamespot and Ign don't go overboard and I'd assume most other respected review sites wouldn't either, so why do we left 1up get away with calling something the perfect game by dishing out 10s to everything with a little unique added feature to it??
Isn't a review just an opinion? If the reviewer feels a game deserves a 10 then it gets a ten. Simple. Each site should handle things their way. There is no point of having ten sites that are exactly like Gamespot right?
no but they should be similar and 1up really breaks out of that mold with all the high ratings it gives to mediocre games and the great games it always hypes down.
