Have you noticed it?

I've noticed that gamespot has started giving out review scores to games only by the .5's nothing in between. What I mean by this is that there are no games anymore that get scores like 9.7 or 8.8. No it's always something like 8.5 or 8.0 or 9.0 etc. Nothing in between! Why is this gamespot?

Theres actually somewhere on the site that breaks down their review scoring system, and there they say something about why they made that shift (a couple of years ago if I remember). It has something to do with not wanting to do so much splitting of hairs, I think...
