Great Games No one's Heard of.

What are some good games that not many people know of?

Here's a few:

1. Tropico- You are the president of a caribean Island, and you are in complete control. Be a tyrant, or make your people happy, Rig elections, tourture the rebels or give them anesty.
2. Phaoro- A great RTS from Sierra. It's like sim city, only in ancient egypt Built Pyramids, And just about everything else. Kepp the people happy, fed, and safe, and you will eventually control all of egypt.
3. Gamebiz 1 &2 - a freeware game where you start your own company, make games, hire developers, and eventually make consoles.avail from Here

Siege of Avalon is awesome and sadly ignored, I'm one of the 4 players that know about it, you are another one and the other two are its makers. I had to stop playing it because of a bug that suddenly gave m unlimited HP so I couldn't die anymore and so there was no reason to play anymore.

I also own Tropico, but I don't like it.

My call is: Die by the Sword, fantastic game that deserved more attention than it received.

Threads of Fate (PS) is a near-perfect epic made by Square. You play as Mint, a girl trying to get her throne back; or Rue, a boy trying to avenge... Spoilers:P

Super Ninja Boy (SNES) is an action-RPG for one or two players. Great length will keep you glued.

Glover (N64) is a game where you play as a magician's glove. You cast spells, explore, and fight off the evil Cross-stitch.

my pick, Puzzle league DS, the best puzzle game this gen, and it has a long hystory since SNES, but hey no one heard about it.

Nox, it is an action RPG from Westwood. It is a really fun game with some interesting gameplay mechanics which are not common in RPGs.

Battle Realms, is a great RTS game with a different approach to unit creation.

Not very unheard of, but I'm the only person I know who's actually played it:

One of the best GBA games ever. If you can find it, don't even hesitate on buying it.

Kirby: Canvas Curse(DS)- all DS owners must own this game. Besides being highly rated, it's pure stylus controlled but at the same time has that same tight gameplay the kirby series is known for.

Aqua-Aqua(PS2)- sequel to Wetrix for the Dreamcast. at only $4, it's a extremely unique and fun puzzle game.

Baten Kaitos(GC)- Usually I get bored with RPG's that have the traditional Final Fantasy combat system, but Baten Kaitos manages to awesomely incorporate card decks which ,although influences many battles by luck, shakes things up enough to be worth buying.

Gitaroo Man(PS2)- probably my current favorite rhythm game, beating GH and Amplitude. It's just really simple, and I really liked all of the songs.

Gunstar Heroes(Wii VC/GBA)- This is another must buy. Just a plain sidescroller/beat-em-up that manages to perfect every aspect of the genre. Please get this game:D

ooo NOX was great. I need to get it again, I never finished playing as the wizard but that was easily the most fun class.

Anyway, I'd say:

Domination - a turn-based strategy game that strips everything to the bone and deals with battles only. It's easy to get into, but difficult to master. Production values are crap, but the gameplay is deliciously addictive.

Etherlords II - a hybrid of turn-based strategy and collectible card games. There are no armies, but rather a various assortment of summoning and magic cards you get to use in battles which are extremely deep and tactical - one wrong move and you're dead. Made by Nival who later went on to make Heroes of Might and Magic V.

Shattered Union - a turn-based strategy game with a very interesting concept...modern American civil war. After a nuclear bomb is dropped onto the White House, America dips into anarchy and the country gets seperated into several main alliances all striving to gain power. The European Union sends in troops to "keep the peace".

Yes, I'm a turn-based strategy fanatic.

Smartball! Quite addicting actually!

Not really sure if it's unheard of, but I'm pretty sure Ikaruga is a game that's pretty uncommon when you're talking about games.
