Looking for a good city building game but there haven't been that many lately. Anyone have a suggestion?

I'm familiar with the Phaoroh and Caesar games, I heard Caesar IV wasn't that great though

It's a city builder similar to the two you mentioned. It's a lot of fun.

might want to try The Settlers: Rise of an Empire. I don't have the game, but the ddemo was pretty good and i might get it when it cheaper. thats the thing, I love pharaoh and think I would enjoy settlers, but the price might not be worth it.

I would recommend the Settlers and any one of the Civilization games. Although the graphics aren't as good as the newer ones, I enjoyed the first Civilization the best.

If you can wait until November 15, SimCity Societies looks quite promising.

I also recommend Civilization IV and it's expansions very highly, it's the only city builder sim I have and it suits me fine. I've always had a soft spot for Maxis' sim series though.
