Games with great map editors

Hello, I'm looking for a game with a really good map editor that allows for lots of freedom. I was looking at far cry for xbox 360... I have a PS3 and 360, so anything on PS1,2 or 3 or xbox or xbox 360 would work! Anyone have any suggestions?

Console games dont have good map editors...all of them are really basic.

all the powerfull map editors are gonna be on the PC.

Far Cry Instincts for Xbox was one of my favourite game last gen. The single player may not have been very goodm but the mmultiplayer, online but local especially was awesome,, because it had cool weapons and vehicles, and the Mapmaker was the best thing a console could offer. It was awesome.

The 360 game is just a port with a bit of extra content I beleive. However, I recommend you buy it if either you have online or you have friends you could play locally with a lot because it is very, very fun.

Yeah, I figured there wasn't much on consoles. Anyway, thanks! I already have all 3 Timesplitters games (my favorite shooters). I'll probably get the 360 version of Far Cry... I never played Far Cry anyway.

The original Farcry has the best map editor I have seen on a console thus far.

For last-gen consoles...

For Current-Gen Consoles...

-Far Cry: Instincts Predator(Best IMO)

-Halo 3(Basically only objects/walls, but not actual geography/buildings)

-Far Cry 2(Confirmed, and looking at being GOTY IMO)

Well, I guess you could always go with Unreal Tournament III, though you'd have to buy two versions of the game to run your maps on a console (PC -> PS3)...aznan

To play on his console. Then again, if he has a PC, there's really no point in opting for the inferior FPS controls of a console. :P

Tenchu 2(ps1), Tony Hawk Underground 1 has THE best create-a-park of ANY tony hawk game(ps2), Timesplitters was already mentioned. And thats about it. I guess you could count Midnight Club Racing or whatever from Rockstar, You can create your own courses through the city by using waypoints.(the rest of the game sucks though)_AbBaNdOn
