Final Fantasy X-2. Is it any good or not?

Any actual fans of Final Fantasy X that actually like X-2? Just wondering and hope that there are no haters of the game. I've always been interested in Final Fantasy X and X-2 since basically I'm a Final Fantasy gamer that still likes Final Fantasy VIII, IX, and the two X games

i'mma huge FFX fan and while FFX-2 wasn't as great as FFX, it was still a very good and well done game. surprisingly, i didn't find the all female cast annoying, and i usually find female lead characters annoying as hell.

It was good, but the story and cast were annoying as hell.

It's nice to have a game that continues the story from X, but the shift from the somewhat somber and tragic tones of X to a more JPop feel is pretty jarring (the game opens with Yuna singing in pop concert). The DressSphere system was pretty cool but the story was more cartoonish than its predecessor.

It's definitely quite different from X. I think your mindset going in really determines how you'll like it. Is it a "real" FF game? No. But if you go into it just trying to have fun with it, then it can be very enjoyable. It was cool to follow up on Yuna and company, as well as have a little more to do around Spira.

I thought it was fun; not epic, but fun.

It's fun, but don't expect it to be like the other Final Fantsies.

That's the whole damn point about the game. Just having fun playing it. Can't believe some people here take Final Fantasy so seriously.

You know I dont care if you guys think X-2 is bad or whatever but don't ruin the fun for those who still haven't had the chance to play Final Fantasy X and X-2

good, the first intro custscene disgusted me however and should be avoided. But after that and turning the battle system to 'wait', I found it to be entertaining. Contains a lot of follow ups in story.

I really like X-2. I think the things that people complain about are actually what I really like about it, ie. it's fun! After the seriousness of FF10 it's great just to have fun in the same world. I also really like the battle system and the fact that you get to re-visit the characters from 10 as well. It's probably not as good as 10 but as a spin-off it's still a lot of fun.

It's okay at best. It's not a terrible game but I found it to be a poor follow up to FFX. The story is a lot more light hearted, and personally I found the new supporting cast to be very poor. Now if you really liked Yuna as a character then this will be a good game for you.
