Favorite "Fake" Game within a Game?

Example: The imaginary console and arcade minigames that are available to play within the self-contained universes of games such as GTA: SA and Bully.

My personal favorite was the "Armies of the Night" game that unlocked after beating The Warriors. "Consumo" on Bully was also fun for awhile.

Geometry Wars in Project Gotham Racing 2 would be my favourite by far - and they obviously knew it, since the game later ballooned into a bunch of digital and physical releases.

The arcade game in Doom 3 was amusing, too, if ridiculously simple.

YES, so much fun! Reminded me of playing Double Dragon when I was a kid.

You mean like the driving section in gears of war? I'm damn sure afterall, that it had nothing to do with the mechanics of the rest of the game.

I'd say geometry wars too. I've played lots of minigames, but most were in GTA SA where it was in some form part of the gameplay.

I could never get into that. Every time I pressed a button, these random...um....Luca CheapPricks would come out of nowhere and block my path, forcing me to call the local high school math teacher in order to find out if I can actually do anything.

I totally agree. I have the perfect play too. You take the ball to the middle just before you reach the other team and stop so you don't have to face any of them yet. Then you pass it to Jassu at the bottom. Take it around the edge as far as you can before you get stopped. break the one or two people who defend you(Jassu generally has enough endurance to sustain both hits). Then pass it to Tidus who is already near the goal. Take him as close as you can get to it then stop. You should have just about two or three people on you. If its two, then just use the Jecht Shot and it's unstoppable, if its three, then break one, then use it. Works every time:lol:.

Same here. How could I forget Random Assortment of Nouns and Adjectives :P?

I liked the game in No More Heroes, but it could be a spoiler for those who have not played.

[spoiler] the vertical scrolling shooter that is toward the end of the game is brilliant design. It foreshadows a boss battle in which you play the same level but from a 3d perspective -- but you wouldn't really notice unless you were paying attention [/spoiler]

The PDA games in Alien Hominid were mindless fun. My friends and I would sit inside for hours and try to get through all 200 levels. So much fun lol.ramboturd72

That portion always confused me...was it supposed to be part of an actual game? Still it was funny hearing Sigint talk about his nightmare about a giant pile of feces shoot poop missiles at buildings...

Anyway, in Strong Badia the Free, I thought the Super Algebros was pretty funny.

The last boss in Wario Ware Smooth Moves is classic too :)
