Which do you find to be better. I rarely depend on nostalgia to put point to a good game. I'd have to say New Vegas, and it's moral grey area storyline.

New Vegas, definitely. I found the storyline, characters, writing and choices in New Vegas to be a big improvement over those in Fallout 3.
Also, New Vegas feels much more like a true successor to the original Fallout and Fallout 2 and passing of the torch from the original games.
I love both games but I'm going with Fallout 3. New Vegas had better storyline/characters and better combat, but Fallout 3 was more immersive IMO. I got the platinum trophy for FO3 and put over 100 hours in. I think I'll probably wind up doing the same with New Vegas though.
Well, Obsidian's dev team is made primarily of people who developed the original 2 Fallout games. However, I can't call New Vegas a true sequel since 90% of the gameplay mechanics are lifted directly from Bethesda's game, so I give the nod to Fallout 3.UT_Wrestler
And? Fallout 2 lifted 100% of the gameplay mechanics from Fallout 1, and thats still a true sequel.
