Which do you find to be better. I rarely depend on nostalgia to put point to a good game. I'd have to say New Vegas, and it's moral grey area storyline.

New Vegas. A better storyline and more choices in questlines are more important in an RPG than meaningless exploring.

New Vegas, definitely. I found the storyline, characters, writing and choices in New Vegas to be a big improvement over those in Fallout 3.

Also, New Vegas feels much more like a true successor to the original Fallout and Fallout 2 and passing of the torch from the original games.

Well, Obsidian's dev team is made primarily of people who developed the original 2 Fallout games. However, I can't call New Vegas a true sequel since 90% of the gameplay mechanics are lifted directly from Bethesda's game, so I give the nod to Fallout 3.

I love both games but I'm going with Fallout 3. New Vegas had better storyline/characters and better combat, but Fallout 3 was more immersive IMO. I got the platinum trophy for FO3 and put over 100 hours in. I think I'll probably wind up doing the same with New Vegas though.

And? Fallout 2 lifted 100% of the gameplay mechanics from Fallout 1, and thats still a true sequel.

New Vegas in every way, shape and form.

IMO, Bethesda should get Obsidian to develop future fallout games. Imagine what they could get done with more time, given that bethesda set a restricted schedule for the development of NV.

Fallout 3. I liked its story more.
