What game has the best shotgun? I like HL2s, but it doesn't really have the nice kick feel to it. I think Im going to have to go with an underdog and say MoH Airborne. That shotty had a nice feel to it, plus the bayonet was cool. Anyway, what was your most satisfying video game boomstick?
I'm gonna go with what's fresh in my mind and say Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, and Resident Evil 4 since I still play those games every so often and light it up with a shottie.
I'm going to go with the retro favorite here and say the first one you get in Doom. Even today, when I play it, that animation for when he pumps after each shot just shows how much he means business. And that sound, pure early 90s awesomness digitized in its purest form.
The Super Shotgun from Doom 2 is amazing. At close range, you could kill some of the tougher enemies in three hits. You have to love the intimidating "BOOM" sound that it makes, too.
Gears of Wars shotgun was cool too, and every shotgun in RE4 just felt real man, the spread knocks everyone down, the kick is insane, and you look cool using it. FEAR's and Gears of War frikin' blew people apart if you were at point blank range.
