I completed Half Life 2 the other day and decided to watch the credits roll fully to see if there were any hidden gems at the end, and sure enough there are! Obviously, I won't spoil it, so I'll leave it up to you.

Do you watch the credits roll on the games you complete to find those secrets or do you skip through?

I don't own HL 2, but to answer your question, by the time the credits start to roll I'm ready to go to something else (be it another game or the internet), so no I don't view them.:)

Always, because developers are putting hidden content at the end so often now that I feel I must watch... well read a book or something until they are over anyway. In fact, when there isn't any hidden content at the end of the credits, I get mad.

Almost always. If I play the game to the end, I figure I can take a couple minutes to honor the people who made a game that I enjoyed. And there might be something else there.

Always.I might skip the credits if I've already seen them before, but even that is pretty unlikely.

Definitely. I'll always watch them at least once and depending on what other things might happen or if I really like the music or whatever I'll watch them multiple times.

I never used to, but a few years ago I just started watching them out of habit. If I enjoyed the game, it's usually the time when I can put my hands behind my head and do something cliche like sighing with a sly grin on my face, and if I hated the game or really wanted it to end it's the time when I'm like "Never have to do that again!" and can watch the game end as the last of the credits disappear. In cases like Prey (Extras at the end and an achievement for completing a segment after the credits) and Syphon Filter Logan's Shadow (Extra cutscene at the end leaving a cliffhanger), I am extremely glad I watched the credits. But no matter what game, unless I am pressed for time and need the game to end NOW, I will watch the credits. Besides, usually there is a cool song.

I always watch the credits when i beat the game, either for the music, secret ending or, just for the nostalgia part of it.

Pretty much never. But maybe I'll have to based on everyone else's posts. I used to stay for the end of movies for extra clips or whatever, but not so much anymore.

The only games I definitely watch the credits for is the MGS series. They always have some revealing monolouge or conversation at the end that makes you feel like you a total idiot for assuming that everything you see in it is absolute.

I pretty much always watch the credits because there seems to always be awesome music playing & I like to know who makes the games I play.

I do the same with movies as well.

I had to watch the cutsenes in Resistance: Fall of Man but there was scene after so it was worth it. I also watched the credits on Call of Duty 2 when the americans rescue the British captin.

Yeah i love watching them. To me there part of the overall game experience. Imagine playing through MGS4 and not watching the credits roll. Now that would suck :)

It depends on the game. If it turns out that it's just a simple scroll of credits, then no, but if there's some sort of fun video, or in some cases, a parade of characters from the game, then I'll watch it.

Only when the credits are unskippable and I don't earn the 'game completed' achievement until after they're over. :P

I always watch the credits once when I've beaten the game. If it's a truly amazing game, I watch the credits every time. If it's not really, I skip them.

I almost always watch the credit list. I do it in respect to the time that went in to create the game.

And it's kind of a pleasent ritual when completing a game.

I might skip it if I've seen it before though.

I don't know why, but I enjoy watching the credits roll for both movies and games. It's not to get hidden content, it's just something I do.

Did it recently, but only because I couldn't skip through them and I wanted to continue with the post-game content. For the movies I do it a lot- Iron Man 2, Harry Potter 6, Transformers 2,...

I usually let the credits roll and do something else or watch tv until they're done. Sometimes there are hidden things at the end, Half Life 2 and Halo 2 come to mind.

Always. Even if i've completed the game/seen the movie like, a hundred times. I like to takea moment to think about what i've just experienced, and see who was behind it all.

For really great games with amazing stories like:
Bioshock (I finished on the good ending the first and last time... so emotional... so beautiful),

Call of Duty 4,

HL2,

MGS, 2, 3, and 4,

Oblivion (well technically no credits, but a great story nevertheless),

GTAIV,

and...

I add more later. Amazing stories are hard to come by.

No, I listen to the credit music though.
