Do people still play old multiplayer games?

for example Bioshock 2 i loved that game, i sold it a while back before using the multiplayer but im told it was awesome. but do people still play? or will i be lucky to find 1 or 2? How about you guys can you name some older games that still have a number of people playing?

No one plays Bioshock 2 mp because it plain sucks man

Last time I played CoD: World At War, it seemed to garner 12,000 at some parts of the day, 9,000 seemed to be average and 5,000 or less on slow days. I imagine this number has changed significantly since MW3 was released

I was playing Bioshocks 2 MP just acouple months ago & there were still lots of people playing it. Its got great Mp.

People still play many old Mp games. They just have small, tight, connected communities.

I still play Far Cry Predator, Cod2, Graw2, Rainbo6v2, Call of Juarez BOB, to name a few older titles that have small but alive communities.

If a game is old & has a small community it is best to add other players to your friends list so that way youre connected to that community & always have others who play it as well.

Yeah still dust off Counter Strike and Team Fortress 2 every now and then.

Same games plus other like CoD 4 which is the best CoD on the pc.

If its local co-op or local versus multiplayer, I play those games (new or old) every time I have company.

I very rarely play online (usually random matches if I do)... though most the time I am trying to do single player marathons to try to burn through my backlog of unopened games (which is hopeless cause I am much busier now days)

...Funny how that happens, go from having no games to being buried by them. At least life is interesting I suppose.

Depends how far back you go. The really big games you will normally always find someone playing. Although I booted up Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit for PC yesterday and I couldn't find anyone playing, which was rather worrying. I wouldn't call that game old at all.

Starcraft, warcraft 3, counterstrike, etc.
