I got into a band called Hybrid because of a song they made in Wipeout Fusion (It was a song they remixed, but it was the best one in the game). How about you?

I love certain songs from particilar games, but how ever much I've enjoyed one particular tune, it's never made me want to get intothe bands music responsible for creating the song.. Prefer the dance scene to be honest.
Need for speed made me start listening to Avenged Sevenfold. Then I started playing drums and my listening turned into admiration
and even started getting into Paramore, thanks to their hit, Misery Business.MetamaniaI gave them a chance too thanks to that song, but my interest didn't last long
Assassin's Creed: Revelations = Woodkid (not a band)
God of War = Gerard K. Marino (not a band)
Crysis 2 = Hans Zimmer (not a band)
I had never heard of Iglu & Hartly until I played DiRT 2. I heard their song Violent & Young in DiRT 2 & I was hooked.
I didn't listen to much music until a few years ago, but I always loved the Tony Hawk games soundtracks. Same with Madden games...Some of the artists I heard in those games are favorites now.
Well, the Rocketbirds demo made me love New World Revolution. Didn't bother to buy the game though :P
Although I liked them before, the song DeLuxe by Lush in Rockband 2 made me fall in love with them anymore. They are my favorite band now and playing that song on Rockband is so much fun!
Portal and L4D2 got made me aware of Jonathan Coulton. He does some very funny and interesting songs.
