Azael from tekken 6 (This Mother###### towers over you, you can't grab him but he can surely grab you, your attacks SOMETIMES land on him, in fact the only time you can damage him is if you hit him when he's trying to hit you. If he knocks you on the grab on your back your basically screwed because he does this move that you can't avoid that juggles you in the air and will get in 4 more hits. Skill has nothing to do with beating him you gotta be lucky)

Ninja Gaiden mutiple bosses (I don't need to explain)

Who are the cheapest bosses you've come across

The Maneater from Demon's Souls... But there's a way to turn the cheapness around, so it's alright :P

The Dragon God was pretty easy, but it's easy to die without really knowing it. That battle is almost more of a matter of luck : it's easy when you know how, but it can take many frustrating times before you get it.

I think that he meant that he was quite cheap. In other words, quite rubbishy.

the last real boss in persona 3 was really cheap. [spoiler] he has an ability that makes him absorb any attack. it would be fine if the ability didnt completely take advantage of an arcaic party system. you dont control your teammates, so they will just keep plugging away and healing the boss. you can change their tactics to not act, but you usually wont have the opportunity to do so until theyve healed him up a good bit. then when he stops that ability and becomes vulnerable, youre teammates are still stuck with the lame duck command and missing their few opportunities to attack. A lot of bosses in Strategy RPG's I've played are really cheap. Then again, this is probably because I was under-leveled :)

Not that it was infuriatingly hard but infuriatingly annoying was the second last boss in FFXIII, Orphan: First Form. It's ultimate attack is insanely annoying and can kill you in an instant if you havent been upping your health, especially when it's almost dead. The worst part is that you are capped at level 9 of teh Crystarium so you can't grind as much

The last difficult boss I fought was on a NES game. NES games pissed everyone off. That's why I think today's games are so easy.

Final boss in New Legends. Most of the game was pretty straightforward and relatively moderate in challenge, but the final boss is grueling for no real purpose.

The final boss in Persona 3 has an attack that gives him invulnerably for as long as he wants and he reflects anything that hits him. It's even more frustrating because it lasts until he decides to stop using it. He also has an attack that does massive damage to everyone on your team and gives out multiple status ailments to the survivors. He also attacks twice per turn.

I didn't find him too hard, but then again all my characters were at least level 90. When he was in "reflect mode", I just took the opportunity to heal my party and replenish SP.

In fact I have to say he was pretty easy... I think I expected too much of a challenge and over-grinded :P

Seth in Street Fighter IV.rockguy92

To this day, I still don't understand why people find him to be hard at all. He's actually quite easy to destroy once you figure out his pattern and exploit it.

He's not bad at all, but try playing some of the older SNK games or even Third Strike - those bosses are just ridiculous! No matter what you do in the game, they ALWAYS find a way to counter it and just throw the rulebook out of the window.

The last boss was actually easy. It was only level 75-ish.

Although, if you mean...

...then it's a different story.

i mean the one at the top of tartarus (not her). it just frustrates me that the developers took advatage of a limitted system. it felt cheap because it was out of my hands. i had to hope timing was on my side that i would be able to stop my teammates from attacking him and get them to attack when he wasnt invincible.

The final boss encounters in both the Otogi games on the original Xbox. Really horrible, between those and the escort missions in both games, all potential they had was ruined.

I never made it that far in Otogi. There were some tough fights in that game. I never mastered moving through the air, so I quit at the fight with the jade floating thing.

Hmm. Cheap would have to be the custom versions of mechs in Peace Walker. They can literally take over 20 rockets to destroy. If we were talking about most disappointing boss then it would have to be the end boss for Demon's Souls. I'm not going to say what it is, but it's just lame...all you need are some arrows and a decent bow. Goes against what the title is known for in punishing difficulty, unless you try to use melee. Then it's a little harder.

This. Metal Gear Solid has a lot of these moments, but most of the time you can figure them out. This one was ridiculous though. I even pulled out the item I needed and tried to use it in many different ways, but I just couldn't do it the exact way the game wanted me to.

The final boss from Disaster: Day of Crisis. He's managable, but he has a lot of hitpoints so it takes about 10-20 minutes to beat him. Then when you finally destroy him and think the final cutscene is gonna begin, you have to point at the screen once more and shoot him, but you only have like 1 second or less to do this, and if you miss you're dead and you have to start all over again. That was very frustrating.

Apollo Flame from Megaman Star Force 2/3. First of all, that fire barrier he has that disappears when you hit him, but he won't take any damage, then you can hit him for some damage. But the barrier regenrates every few seconds. Secondly, he has a "Solar Flare" attack where flames can strike all 3 areas of your side, and it pierces through your shield (WTF?!) I mean, what kind of an attack is that, if an attack hits all areas of your side you should be able to block it. Other games? Not much really... seeing as how most RPGs are turn-based and if you grind any boss is easy, but Megaman Star Force is action-paced, as in real-time, so it is a completely different story.
