Many says it's an MP5. But doesn't it look like an M16? However it never really impacts as an M16.
Depends on what version you're using. The original version had an MP5, the high definition pack and PS2 version had an M4A1 Carbine.Also, this topic would be more at home in the Half Life boards. (I don't think the PC Half Life board is dead yet.)
