I've only played the first which I thought was solid, but I'd like to play one of the improved sequels.
Only thing is, I'm not a fan of the Desmond sequences, feels like I'm being sucked out of the game. So which game has the fewest of these?

Revelations. Theres quite a bit of Desmond gameplay, but most of it is optional.

Not really, in Assassin's Creed 1 you exit out of the Animus every time you complete a Chapter and has to talk to Dr Vidic (sometimes Optional) anyway i'd say Assassin's Creed Brotherhood since Exiting the Animus is completely Optional, you only use Desmond on the start and the last part of the game. The least amount? I'd say the first.

I don't think you have to worry about the Desmond gameplay because it's a lot different in the sequals than it is in the first and it goes well with the gameplay, it's great and plays pretty big importance on the story.
I would say play 2 before jumping into brotherhood or rev...2 is better than both anyway, although all are great imo.
In AC2 there are some segments where you play as Desmond, but it's not every often. AC Brotherhood has some more game play with him as you run around the town every night. Haven't played Revelations yet so I can't comment on that.

He's right. You can exit out of the Animus and explore Ezio's old base of operations and finding artifacts. Getting one of them leads to an achievement/trophy, if I remember correctly.

I collected them and that only takes 5 minutes :| and it's completely Optional.[QUOTE="Metamania"][QUOTE="Justforvisit"]
Your version forced you to do something completely optional? :Oguildclaws
