Are you pre-ordering Diablo IV?

I haven’t seen much buzz about the upcoming Diablo IV game. I plan on preordering it this week just so I can have access to the early beta and get familiar with the game before its actual release in June. I’m disappointed it won’t allow you to keep your save file from the beta and continue it at launch, but im still pretty stoked for it.

Anyone else plan on pre ordering this game and taking part in the beta?

No. Not very interested in the game despite being a huge Diablo fan. Blizzard isn't Blizzard anymore. And I wont be swayed by the visuals being good for the series, unlike Diablo 3. Diablo 4 has to be really good to make me get it, and I don't really see that happening.

I'm liking everything I see with Diablo 4, especially concerning the world and level design.

WoW: Dragonflight was great too.

So is Overwatch 2, though it did have some issues.

Talk shit about Blizzard all you want, and yes they are not the studio they once were, but they honestly still crank out some quality stuff.

My only concern is that enough idiots with money rewarded their aggressive microtransaction strategy on Diablo Immortal, and we might see some of that bullshit carry over to Diablo 4. Then again they did backtrack and remove the real-money auction house in Diablo 3 after we complained, so it's never a done deal even after release.

I’m very much looking forward to getting the game but probably not going to preorder it.

I've been burned too many times to preorder anything ever again. I'll wait until it's got some been out for a while and goes on sale. I've already got too many games I've bought on sale that I still haven't touched yet. Besides I wasn't that impressed with Diablo 3.

I was really excited for February when I realized all the games we were going to be getting, but so far it's felt pretty lukewarm as far as the reality of it goes.

Likewise, I have way too many games to play as it is.

I will still pre-order it because the history is there, but as far as gaming goes it's generally a no pre-order policy for me these days.

Hell, I still haven't finished Grim Dawn or Wolcen, two really good "diablo clones".

No. I do like Diablo in general but i want to see what the catch is before i play it. Blizzard are not what they used to be: it's inevitable that there will be something nasty on the business side.

Nah and I'm not against these Dungeon Crawlers (use to be a big fan of Champions of Norrath) it's just not a genre of games I play very often, and probably just grown out of them. I looked at the remake of Diablo II and it just seemed really boring to me.

Usually if a game is grindy I like it to have alittle more depth I guess, keep me engaged outside farming a build. When a game has really good and rewarding gameplay I could questionably play until the ends of time, Dungeon Crawlers don't offer that for me and are far too mindless.

Suppose some are probably put off Activision Blizzard due to all the shit they get up to behind closed-doors. Company is as classy as Justin Roiland.

I do love Diablo though, so if its well received and they didn't mess it up I will most definitely pick it up. I held back from rushing to snag Warcraft reforge too.. worked out in my favor.

I'm excited about Diablo 4 and I thought about pre-ordering it just to play the early beta but when I heard there was also going to be an open beta, I decided to wait and see if this game is indeed worthy to purchase on day one.

If anyone has any doubts about Diablo 4, just play the open beta and the beta starts in late March 2023.

with 11,200 hours in DIablo 2 I feel obliged to, but I don't really have faith that they will make D2 sequel. More of a D3 sequel...
