man that game was wicked fun. it was more challnging too because of the gameplay style where you always had to keep your balance and spin moves were much harder to do and not just pressing the L or R button to rotate. I loved the feeling of going off a huge jump, doing a 1080 and then hearing the guy yell 1080!! it made it sound like a big accomplishment. I was very dissappointed with the sequel that was released on the gamecube. it felt like any other snowboarding or tony hawk game with simple controls, cheesy licensed music, and "hip" versions of the old characters.

anyone else remember this game feel free to post. and does anyone know if it is on the wii's virtual console or when it will be?

Would make a great Virtual Console game.

I would love a true sequel to 1080, as well as a sequel to Beetle Adventure Racing. I wish I knew why they never made another Beetle game.

Yes I recommend it if you are interested in a snowboarding racing game with a fair trick system.

I remember loving this game when I was a kid! My favourite mode (can't remember the name) was when you had a really high ramp in front of you and when you jumped off it you got some amazing air and could pull any tricks you wanted to do. I was really bad at the game but that didn't stop it being fun.

I remember 1080. It was a great game. I bought it shortly after I bought my N64 and loved it. It was fun unlocking the extra characters and it was generally a lot of fun. It was probaly my third most played game on that system, behind Zelda: OoT and Goldeneye. :)

I agree. I owned both 1080 and cool boarders and 1080 was the superior game. I think 1080 was actually the last snowboarding game I bought, which doesn't say much because I am not a huge fan but it was just awesome! :)

I loved 1080 Snowboarding.  I was so satisfied when I pulled one off.  Soon, I began using that trick like it was nothing.  Good memories....

Of course I remember, that game was pretty good! Although IMO the more advanced tricks were a little rough on the N64 controller (the stick). I also thought the number of courses was a little limited.

I also own the Cube version, and although it is maybe not as revolutionary as the N64 version, I still think it's a little underappreciated. Yes, it's a little more SSX style boarding, but the controls are still pretty good, the visuals are great and I really like parts of the soundtrack.Â
