I mean seriously, the game starts and guess what? There is a timelimit with the main quest. So i am halfway on the timer and i decide to start the quest, yet the timer goes on. I complete the mission but suprisingly the timer keeps going through the next part !!! I am following someone and then the time runs out. MAIN QUEST FAILED, THE TRUTH WILL NEVER BE KNOWN and you are stuck with either doing freeplay till the time passes and the game ends by itself or RESTART the ENTIRE game from the beining with your current level. What the hell is this crap?

Oh wait, i can choose to load game in that bathroom i saved not less than 30 seconds ago, great thats gonna be helpfull

Two things:

a: Why i got to save in restrooms? Is my character experiance some important checkpoint in his life when he takes a crap?

b: Why so much stupidity? Why cant i have more than 3 saveslots and why no autosave checkpoints and why so many small timelimits? Why this game is so unforgiving?

I mean this is not ps1 era. So why so many crap saving mechanics and why so simple and few controls? Eg: i am in this big enviroment with a small timelimit and NO sprint!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS CAPCOM?

Why everything in this game is so unforgiving and stupid? I mean games like gta iv and fallout 3 have shown that lots of things to do wherever you want equal more gameplay hours which means higher ratings and more gameplay. Why limit the game so much?

So i pushed myself to play it further. I do some escort missions and guess what? I have to go to the other side of the map in a specific amount of time and get back to the safehouse and there is ONE safehouse in the entire map, plus main quest and zombrex timers running out  and the entire map is FILLED with zombies, seriously its more logically to go through the small spaces that are between the crowds of zombies than the actual road which is filled with zombies. Is the ground populating the map with zombies somehow? They keep respawn and respawn, hell there is not that much population in the city to begin with, it makes no sense.

So here i am trying to get back to the safehouse and almost outside there are 5 no, 6 looters to kick the crap out of me with about 434534634 zombies all around me. No problem i say, i got 3 pistols and a shotgun, yet one zombie grabs me when the looter is spraying paint in my eyes and i wake up in the bathroom:shock:

 FACEPALM

Yes i actually facepalmed, something i NEVER have done before in a game. I litterally gone insane and started hitting the wall, all that time of progress is gone thanks to the lack of autosaving.....or some GOD DAMN BATHROOMS IN THE AREA!!! ::twisted:

God damn it, this game just does not want to be played:cry:

I give it another shot and i figure out that the are is now populated with mercenaries with assault rifles that break my character's action at every shot and get me grabbed by a zombie ::evil:

FACEPALM ........AGAIN!!!

One final try, i get to a club to fight a boss as the time runs out as always, first of all the entrance to the club is a tight corridor filled with zombies that i had to fight, So much for random generated npcs and no actual placing them on the map. I get in and there are two girls that carry swords. No problem i say, i got guns.....oops, they dont do crap. I got cool combo weapons..... combo my ass, they still dont damage crap. So i try to attack them and suprisingly i cant stop their attacks but they can knock me down and take all my health away with one combo that cannot be stopped or blocked ::evil:

Screaming: Why the hell there is no complex meele combat system? Damn you capcom, damn you and your stupid japanese games, it seems you learned that its GOOD to be able to move and aim at the same time from resident evil 5, time to learn what other things games do nowadays that are for the BETTER and you SHOULD include them in your games.

So i run around like a chicken from those 2 girls and drink stuff to heal myself:cry:  ....screaming HELP ME HELP ME and then my charcter pukes, the weapon falls down and i take hits by both of those girls and get knocked down. I try to replenish my health and i get multiple pukes and my character's control is disabled and i can only watch him puke, lose health and get knocked down and die.

"MASSIVE FACEPALM" It actually hurt :P....quiting the game instantly with RAGEEEE!!!

Now its a good game but why the hell it has to be that freaking annoying and stupid and refuse to be played so much? I mean crap like that are making me go play call of duty instead so i wont have to deal with this nightmare!!!

Anyone in this same boat as me?

I enjoyed the first Dead Rising, and I'll probably enjoy the 2nd once I get the money for it. The game just seems to hard for ya. A lot of people have the same complaints you do, TC, but that's because they're not good at the game. Some games we're just not good at.

Glad to know there are other people who complain too. I Thought i was the only one who sucked at it. Like a friend of mine said, this game is japanesse hard, you have to complete it from start to finish and replay it by knowing everything in order to enjoy it. I wonder when i am gonna reply the entire chapter, level up and travel to the other side of the map dodging zombie crowds to go get killed by those 2 girls and lose my progresss. :P Ill make some money and buy a lmg this time around....and food, i wont rely to drinks that make you puke.

Tbh, it sounds like you're having a lot of fun - and a heck of a lot of bad luck, too. Personally, I loved the game's challenge and somehow managed to do almost everything (and get the best ending) in my first playthrough, but it took a fair amount of trial and error, and I can see why some people would find that very frustrating. Still, I wouldn't have it any other way. :P

I enjoyed both Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2, I don't understand how you could complain about it so much, if you did something wrong like saved it just before you fail the game, learn not to do that, that's a major noob mistake no matter what game you play.

The game would have been a lot better with an autosave and no time limit. I agree with you pal, frustating game.

I think thats the best way too describe my experiance, alot of fun and alot of bad luck :P Seriously: "almost there guys, oh wait 5 looters, no problem i got plenty of guns, hey, hey what are you doing, hey let me go, damn how am i supossed to fight the looters with all those zombies, hey stop spraying paint to my face......ahhh waking up naked in the bathroom is seriously annoying"

What really pisses me off is how much the game changes its rules. For example i got guns and while they are good against zombies, they dont do crap in humans, i shoot to the head all the freaking time and no headshots. So freaking fake. Now thats ok, but you CANT, i say again you CANT spray paint in my face and wake up naked in the bathroom.

Hell, if this was happening in reallity, moments like that or with those 2 girls with the sword woudlnt happen. I would just shoot them and get it over with.

Well its not the most "subtle" game. I mean, games nowadays have sprint and combat system and if the case is to have so much complexity of time and choices, then alteast dont limit me to 3 saveslots. Yet the reporter says: "hey, you can save here" So i save and the time runs out and i have to restart the ENTIRE game. How about putting a god damn autosave in the begining of the mission? Seriously?
