Ah, that's why there were new Alan Wake images for me to moderate on GB. :)

I'm about to watch the trailer now. Unfortunately, I don't have sound right now, so I might be missing out on some of the awesome. :(

If it is anything like this trailer, it's going to be truely epic.

It was always PC bound. However, I believe that it became a Vista exclusive game after Microsoft picked it up. Not sure if this is still true.

It's always been coming to the PC AFAIK. Remedy are PC devs first and foremost.

Seems like it would be a great suspense movie, on the other side, as a game, it looks like it has some pretty nice graphics but what type fo game is it?...I don't know.

as for what kind of game it is, here's a quote I found from a while ago.

"The basic idea with the free-roaming world is that we give the player goals, and then the player can go about achieving those goals in the way he chooses. Alan Wake is more tightly character-driven and story-oriented. Meaning that the player's goals and missions are closely focused around Alan Wake and his story. Also, the setting, the tone and the game being an action thriller all set it clearly apart from the GTA games." - Sam Lake

The textures and lighting are amazing. Judging by the trailer, the hero's writings impact reality. Not having an X360 is going to hurt when this game comes out.CarnageHeart

I have a Vista PC which might have the horsepower and space required. Time will tell.

Just the amount of time ive been anticipating it coupled with what it could be if they deliver on all fronts. Wanting a game SOOO bad for SOOO long builds you up and its more often than not, nigh impossible for them to live up to it.

Nice trailer... and i'm glad it's still around. fell off the radar soooooo long ago, was wondering when or if it was ever gonna show up again. glad it's looking as pretty and intereting as ever. it must be nearly finished by now... lol.

As an aside, there was a part of that town that reminded me of the small town where I grew up. I mean ... it looked like a picture out of my memories.

The description of the gameplay is interesting. This game has so much potential.

Heh no. Virginia. Obviously nothing like Washington State. Still, there was just one scene in the town there that looked exactly like it came right out of my home town. For just a minute there I was fooled.
