Best Gamecube game .

Like almost everyone, I'll say Resident Evil 4 is the greatest game in the GCN... well, in all the current consoles (Ninja Gaiden is a great game, but RE4 is EXTREME). Then, in 2nd place, Super Smash Bros Melee (The best multiplayer fighting game in the World!!!) and Metroid Prime 2 (Just Amazing!!!)

But, this can change when Twilight Princess hits the market (The GCN version, of course)

This Poll just shows what I already knew, Metroid Prime, the highest scoring and best GC game without question, is incredibly underrappreciated in the GC Forum. Just a damn shame.

The game is more respected in System Wars of all places!

Yeah, its better than RE4, RE4's first 2 Chapters weren't anything special (other than a couple memorable encounters). It was a brilliant game from there on though.

The game needed to be pretty much perfect to be as good as Metroid Prime.

Backtracking was merely weaving through areas to get better or more items and unlock new areas, I had absolutely no problem with that at all. It certainly wasn't a flaw, and in fact is a staple element in Metroid games anyways. It was a nice memory challenge and perfect for testing your skills with speed runs.

The enemies reappearing was merely an annoyance, I suppose you could call it a minor flaw, but then again its typical of a Metroid game, and Retro brilliantly made sure the game was a Metroid game first and foremost.

Majority of the people say that RE4 is the best game... I don't personnaly think thats right. To be considered like the best game, I think you need a good solo and multiplayer gamplay. I agree that RE4 has a CRAZY AND SICK solo, but no multiplayer. On the other side, SMB got an AWESOME multiplay gameplay, and a very good solo. So I would say SMB.

I've always said that its a shame this GC forum doesn't appreciate Metroid Prime like it should.

The critics do however, thankfully, Metroid Prime is the most critically acclaimed game this century thus far, over RE4, TP, or anything else.

When everything else on the GC is pretty much left in the dust and long-since all but forgotten, Metroid Prime will stand as an all-time classic game. Its still ahead of its time, too bad the public at large hasn't caught up with it yet.
