Nostalgia with Final Fantasy

FF8 is the FFthat became the biggest hit here in the Philippines.. I guesss most Filipino gamers does notappreciate deformed characters, so when FF8 was released and it has life-size/proportionate size characters, it was very much appreciated by many of us here.

As for me, it's not my favorite, but I loved this game. Perfected the use of Junction System, and done everything in the game. 

VIII managed a score of 9.5 by GS, some people just don't recognize the beauty in it because they wanted something like VII, heck VIII is another game another idea, and regardless is a great game and one of the best.

Here what GS said about it: Cast all fears aside, the latest Final Fantasy is the greatest game ever to bear the name. Meaning it's better than VII or any game before it.

Though everyone of us has his personal point of view, which is normal.

Well that would be GS opinion. I am sure there are many out there that disagree with that. 

Exactly, 9.5 is a clear indicator that it's a great game, someone liking the game or not is based on his own taste and perspectives, to me and to many it's the best game ever to bear the FF name, to some it's the least favorite FF ever, it's how we see things that's all.

I have to agree back in the day GS did have better reviewers who reviewed accuratly so I agree with that score.

Out of three you mentioned, I would rank them like this:

1 - VIII

2 - IX

3 - VII

This is excluding all the other FF's. 

I would actually say that each FF are equel out of VII, VIII, and IX. A lot of people do not like IX the best and neither do I but IX had a better antagonist. Kuja was way better than Ultemecia. Whereas the protagonist in VIII is better. The combat in my opinion was better in IX and I liked how you could learn skills from clothes and I also liked the return to emphassis on clsses, even though set. I think FFVII had the best cast with Yuffie, Cloud, VIncent, Reeve, Rufus, Turks, Cid(the best one), Barret, Tifa, Red etc...Way more good characters then FFVIII and IX. This is an opinion but Irvine, Selphie, and Zell annoyed the crap out of me. I will say that all the FFs are good in some ways, some ways not. They end up being about the same in my opinion. If any FF should get the best score I think it should be FFIX becauseI think it is a better FF overall, which it is not my Favorit. I just think it was crafted really nicely. FFIX has some really good characters as well such as Beatrix and VIVI etc. SO I think FFIX would be better than VIII and VII. I think people may not have liked the art style of IX but I think the art style was different and brilliant. These are my opinions. My favorite FF is actually VII but I think the better FF is IX. I did like VIIs soundtrack the best out of all FFs.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you guys but how did IX come into this? I said VII, VIII, and X. Nothing was said about IX, not to say that it isn't a good game I'm just confused on how it got involved.Lightning__Evil

I was actually about to pint that out as well. We are probably the most OT officers I have ever known. It makes it worse that we are two and go bak and forth.

I will go back to subject by saying that all FFs have pros and cons and all good foe something different so they are all equel(exempt XIV)

Nope there is no English copy since it wasn't released in Europe, my brother bought the American version and hacked his PS2 but it don't work anymore :( I might be able to play on my Laptop. Gotta give it a try.

Yes Chrono Crusade is up there with my top 5 favorite animes as I've already told you and I think you were looking for Chrono Cross or Trigger Balmane :PLightning__Evil
