5 RPGs you like and why?

hey!

Write doen 5 Rpgs you really like (and that you can think of) and write why you enjoy them...

kinda like a top 5 list but as its hard to really sit and think of 5 rpgs that should be the best.. we go for the first 5 that come to your mind.

I will start off here and post my 5 RPGs (they don't have to be in any particular order )

I start of with

Phantasy Star 1 - This went first in my head,  simply because this was the first real major RPG that ever came out..that played and looked like so many RPGs that came out afterwards, it had an very nice fantasy visison.. cool monsters (and hard) and it was sure a challenge to beat it.. even today Phantasy Star is champion on some of the hardest caves I have ever gone thru in a game...

Final Fantasy VII - I guess, in here I don't really have to explain why this game is on my list.. it has a great system, the growing of materia in weapons and armour was just brilliant in my eyes, exciting story and great sub bosses/hidden bosses made this a killer game

Tales Of Symphonia - Rather new game, but still owrthy of being on the list.. It really gave me some "backflashes" to the good old days with its cute anime look and story.. it was like I played some older RPG as this one really felt were made back in the days.

Final Fantasy X - yeah! Though I think this game is a bit linear for my taste, this one gets to the top simply because of all the extras.. its loaded with so much extra stuff to do oh man! just beating off the dark aeons had me sitting there for many hours =)

Chrono Cross - This can actually be my all-time favourite RPG.. I'm not sure, there are others out there but this really makes me happy just to hink about. the story is one of the most touching stories ever made in my opinion.. sometimes I felt ashamed for being human . Graphicswise its the most impressive game Ive seen on a console actually.. I liked the system for this one aswell.. took me some time to learn how to use it for best resuslt but when I did that everything just clicked and it became sooo amasing! Great music combinedwith great visual and an outstanding story makes this one really close to my heart.

Legend of Legaia - This also has a very interesting battle system. It plays out like any other RPG until you choose to attack. You then input different buttons in order to perform combos and special moves. .aerisISalive

oh yeah! Legend Of Legaia, that came out on the Playstation 1, right? Now that you mention it I at least know I have played it thru and it was very good

Baulders Gate II: this game spanned over 300 hours, was perfect D and D and had the greatest and best balanced battle and leveling up system of all time. Great Characters, Dark and cool as hell story and truly timeless graphics, there is no faults

Baulders Gate: Still good however less well balanced and shorter

FFIX; the first i played and what i honestly believe to be the best FF out of the whole lot

KotOR: tell you what i love jedis and sith and this game managed to perform in a way that did not speak down to you like the movies did, instead it emensed you and took you deep into the subleties of the story. Plus you get to wave a lightsaber around

Xenogears - Xenosaga is actually the prequel to the Playstation game Xenogears. If you have played Xenosaga and like it, I highly recommend that you pick up Xenogears (if you can find it) because it is much better and has some of the best music I have ever heard in a videogame. aerisISalive

i missed both of these series cause i heard they were bad, but one of my friends seems to like it

FFVII - cause it was my first and fav RPG

FFIX - cause i can use 4 people instead of just 3

FFX - cause you can switch people in and out on the fly

KH - cause its the perfect blend of Disney and FF

FFXI - cause i can have a mob of people with me :twisted:

Final Fantasy Series... Nothing to explain.

Lunar Series - pure fan.

Grandia Series - feels like Lunar series.

Suikoden Series - I love the characters and interwoven stories.

Pokemon - Charmander, Charizard, Gyarados.

Lots more - 'coz I love RPGs.

FF's: why do you think?

Dark Cloud 2/ dark chronicles: Pure brillance with the weapons

Fable: Wooo Customizable characters

Pokemon Series: Evolution still kicks ass

Paper Mario 2: Suprisngly good, i loved it

ah i wish i could get paper mario,

pokemon series was pretty good

and FABLE, would be up there in the top five, but i havn't finished it yet

btw im surprised very few people like NWN, i didn't like it cause im a Baulders Gate/Icewindale addict

FF - Good Characters, excellent Story, awesome Gameplay, awesome music.

Digital Devil Saga - Awesome gameplay, unique storyline.

Lunar (Silver, Blue) - Awesome characters, memorable storyline, good music.

Suikoden - Memorable characters, memorable storyline, awesome music.

 Chrono Cross - Colorful Characters, Good gameplay, awesome music, memorable story.

FF series: my fav is FFX

NWN: i love mideval games

KOTOR: probably my second fav series besides FF

Kingdom Hearts - Succesfully mixed the styles of Disney and Square to make a masterpiece.

Tales of Symphonia -  Best RPG in recent years.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age - Awesome conclusion to Golden Sun.

Chrono Trigger - So much fun to play. Great story, characters and awesome battle system.

Pokemon Gold/Silver - The best Pokemon game. So much playing-time in this game.

Final Fantasy: All. What can be said. Final Fantasy is the reason I fell in love with RPG games.

Suikoden Series: Intriguing story lines and characters. The best part is the recruiting and building a home base.

So Hoour Of Darkness is worth checking out then.. I have only read about it.. that's itKingX

hmm, I shall look around and see if I can find it anywhere... don't know if it got released in Europe.. chances are big it wasn't..

Hope you can but my friend said it's hard to find (I got it near the release) and that was months ago. :( Maybe it'll be more available when Disgaea 2 comes out, but your best chance of getting it would be the internet Gallion-Beast

I shall take a look around.. some shops here in Sweden has all kinds of stuff.. I bet someone has a copy left ... the only problem is to find that shop

Final Fantasy VII - You already know why lol

Chrono Cross - Easily one of the best RPGs ever.

Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne - I loved it's style and the battle system was fun.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance - I just loved this game so much. Check my review if you want to know more lol

And ummm....a tie between Final Fantasy X, Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest VIII, and Kingdom Hearts. - I loved all of those games and I don't want to choose a favorite lol
