Is destiny really a first person shooter?

First person shooter as in "first person shooter" or is it an online multiple player/co-op game that is played through the perception of a first person's eyes?

a game is NOT a "FPS" unless a single person can play it, offline.

mostly fps very few can play online at once, not once during the alpha or beta did anyone use voice chat of any kind they popped in for a few minutes wondered around then left...I've decided not to buy this until it goes down for cheap. Over hyped game with very little content for what they promised.
