i know its all preference. not all AAA games appeal to everyone (i myself don't like halo). i've tried to keep an open mind about the whole system wars, and still haven't shuned the 360. like i always said though, ps3 is a great system but it gets knocked by misconceptions of opinion. So i've argued time and time again why ps3 is just as viable, if not more, a console thats worth the money with my friends or any shmuck that tells me ps3 sucks. Is it brand loyalty, am i being 2 passionate about irrelevant things? maybe, but i know one thing, i like to argue about anything and everything (i find it stimulating)
but most of all, bringing more users to ps3 ultimately makes the system better for hardcore gaming. why did 360 get all these great features and games...user base. and since i can't afford a 360 at the moment, i've influenced a couple of my friends to get one, and its been a good experience playing games online with them.
if about 95 % of the games on 360 are on the ps3, how can you say that 360 has better games without bringing up exclusives. thats why as retarded as it may seem, i keep up with AAA titles and system talk just to illustrate that ps3 has a good diverse library.
as far as rpg's go, once again there is a little misconception because this generation is dry with rpg's on all systems. atlus hasn't released that many rpgs, and so has square enix. its not just the ps3. tales of vesperia is ps3 bound, rumors circulating of star ocean coming to the ps3 as well. final fantasy 13 and versus are on their way to ps3. theres already a couple of games on the ps3 like eternal sonata, valkyria chronicles, disgea 3, white knight chronicles...rpgs are on their way. 360 doesn't have more than 7 rpgs that ps3 doesn't.
hope you guys understand that i want everyone to enjoy the ps3...not just me hahaha

Its not the the PS3 sucks, but for me its just not anywhere near my 360 in terms of time logged playing. Even if I back out the first year that 360 had on the PS3 I would imagine the playtime is nearly double.
We can argue up and down about AAA exclusives, but what about AA exclusives? or A exclusives? The difference as I have contended is simply in what I can play on the 360 that I cannot play on the PS3 and vice versa,Â
Once that is out of the way, it becomes a matter of which console do I buy the "Non-Exclusives" for?
ANd that becomes a toss up as they pertain to features, GTA4 for example offered me the potential for 360 exclusive content and regardless of if I use it or not the reality is that I like that feature.Â
The PS3 certainly has the tools to be just as viable, however the gaming gap between the PS3 launch day and the release of MGS4 was annoying at least for me, and that left a bad taste in my mouth and as such since I was playing my 360 more during that period it just made sense for me to buy the multiplats on that console.
We can argue exlusives till we are blue in the face, but the reality is that The Darkness, Saints Row, Dead Rising, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Gears of War were games I played on my 360 that I could not have played on my PS3 (at that time) that I didn't want to play on my PC. Â
The issue with the RPG drought en mass,
Yes and No.
Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, Star Ocean, Tales of Vesperia, Operation Darkness, Spectral Force 3, Culdcept Saga, Supreme Commander, Infinate Undiscovery were all games that were either released exclusively for the 360, or released on the 360 first, not a great list but a passable one.
While its awesome that a PS3 user will get to enjoy Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia for me that is moot. It would be like Left 4 Dead being released on the PS3 tommorow it was an awesome game I played the poop out of it but I put it down a few months ago with the intention of never playing it again.Â
A great perk for the PS3 user perhaps, but moot to me.
Its like when all the GTA's were released after the fact on Original Xbox, Who cares? Most of us played them years ago on the PS2 anyway. Â
As for PS3 RPG's Valkyria Chronicles and Disgaea 3 which I can't play anywhere else or came out on PS3 first. Both awesome games but no where near the glut that PS2 gave me in the past.Â
As for whats coming, I am pleased with the game quality from MGS4 onward from the PS3 and I hope it improves but games like White Knight and FF Versus have been games that have been promised to me since late 2006 and while I can't wait to play them the reality is that the 360 has filled that void with quantity.
Please understand I am not poo pooing on the PS3, as I LOVED my PS2 its just that Sony at least IMVHO spit in my face this generation with what was almost a lack of interest in gaming for the first year and a half of the PS3's existance and it just don't sit well with me which is why perhaps I do most of my gaming on the 360.
When PS3 does a great game, they normally do it right the problem is that they are few and far in between and that is a quality that drove me mad in regards to the Gamecube last gen. Â
