it's pretty self explanatory. since we moved to the new format, i have been unable to watch any videos on the site, including videos that i was able to see just fine earlier today, before the swap (like today's The Point).

Same problem for me, the first 10 seconds play just fine then there's a long gap.

It's a bug to do with using Ad Blocker. We're going to fix it, but maybe you shouldn't be using Ad Blocker, because it's the kind of thing naughty people do.

@chrisbeaumont If certain sites didn't insist on bombarding people with porn-related ads or ads that contain malware there wouldn't be a need for Adblocker.

Personally I don't think that wanting to protect your PC and to keep your your 5 year old kid from accidentally seeing a picture of two women dressed like Miranda from ME 2 fondle each others crotch is what "naughty people do", but to each his own.

I always had Adblocker disabled on GS btw. Really hope you guys fix this bug fast because GS UK shows where the only reason why I kept visiting these past 3 years.

To anyone who can't see videos if you are using Firefox you have to completely disable adblocker. Having it disabled on GS does not work.

If you are usingChrome you have to add this link to exceptions list http://vidtech.cbsinteractive.com/plugins/ima3/3_2_1/CBSI_IMA.swf

@chrisbeaumont: Forcing people to watch ads for products which are: a) not available in their country and b) they really don't care about purchasing in the first place is what I'd call "naughty". Don't blame us for using our right to "not care" for all the stuff companies want to force on us. There still is a crisis going on (something Americans should be painfully aware of with the shut down in effect) and my mortgage won't pay for itself. If I'm interested in a product I'll Google for it. And I'll be the one to decide which brand I'm buying. And don't give me that bullshit of "but we only show ads for products specially catered to your taste". I'm also running Disconnect which blocks all tracking cookies like Google analytics. So there is no (complete) profile of me available. Plus all my pages load faster because Chrome doesn't have to load all those ads and banners. Except for the new Gamespot site which loads painfully slow. But I think I can guess what causes this slowdown. Must be all those tracking cookies, ads and banners trying to force themselves on me...

I think they should roll the Giant Bomb subscribers on GameSpot since its owned by the same company and would give added value.
