gamespot Slow loading??

Anyone else noticed for past few days this site is very slow loading, it waiting for connections way to long then when it actual does start to load the actual loading it page is just as slow.

And no ad blocker is not the issue, it does it with it disabled and enabled, I already reset modem/router.

Anyone else using opendns for the dns and having this issue?? it seem to clean up if use the DNS automaticly assigned by my IPS.

there is seriously something wrong with the website

Static1.gamespot.com

Static2.gamespot.com

Static3.gamespot.com

Static4.gamespot.com

Static5.gamespot.com

All seem to be randomly waiting way to long to connect and when does connect images are missing and sits there another 15+ seconds trying to load them. when usng OpenDNS 208.67.222.222,208.67.220.220

If I switch over to my IPS DNS which are 167.206.245.135, 167.206.245.135 it significantly better majority of time site loads in 3 seconds with random here and there images are missing which take another 10 seconds to load, but even these dns are starting to stall,wait for connection on the above ip more often.

these test were dont on multiple computers and router and modem have alll been rebooted

Need to change it for people with higher post counts who haven't been moderated underi spam if this is to deter spammers.

you saying you have same issue with Static1.gamespot.com , Static2.gamespot.com , Static3.gamespot.com , Static4.gamespot.com , Static5.gamespot.com or the site in general have issue connecting and or finishing loading the site with opendns? Cause openDNS says the issue is not there end despite it beeing very band on openDNS dns servers my isp DNS server are alot faster but they even show same issue from time to time.

Multiple computers and Firefox/Cyberfox/Chrome/IE/Edge they all seem to have this issue and considering gamespot is know for having issue with there site I more included to think it there end

Correct, I meant to say that the site is loading slow as opposed to the issue with Static1.gamespot.com (although I seem to get that when opening articles and images).

I'm currently using edge w/ windows 10.

if your using Opendns servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 swap out 208.67.220.220 with 208.67.222.220 it seem to made the issue better. for now

I too get slow loading when browsing the forums where I can't click on anything until it's done loading. It went on for too long, then it got fixed and now it's back again... Seriously, it's enough to make a user ragequit this site.

IP addresses for static.x servers change often to regionally balance load. If OpenDNS isn't refreshing often enough you're probably stuck on a server that's less than optimal for your location.

They did refersh there servers when I made the initial complaint to them, that didnt fix the issue, swap out 208.67.220.220 with 208.67.222.220 is what fixed cause apparently 208.67.220.220 was have reliability issue, before I did this I could not even get Giantbomb.com to load and gamespot was horrible slow loading those static#.gamespot.com, static#.gaintbomb.com servers would either not connect or be horrible slow . that or you's fixed your own sites problem, not that you's would admit issue with the site.

The website is extremely slow for the last couple of days. Sometimes pages freeze for several second. It's a nightmare to visit pages with videos and images now.
