Can we do away with the Friends list?

neither VinceL - Megagod - q_oats or phil315 are not my friends and I certainly do not want them to be.

Doesn't matter to me that they've Admins or whatnot, they're no friends of mine as we've never spoken. So how can I remove them from the list?

If you have an empty friends list, you'll see a list of admin usernames (e.g. those you've named) instead. They're not really on your list at all, unless you purposefully track them.

I used to have the same problem but then it went away when I got 10+ friends I believe, though it very rarely still pops up and goes away again.

Besides I think very few people would want it removed anyways.

The Friends List is a very useful utility actually.

It provides me with a quick way to send PMs, read blogs, read game reviews, and so on.

It compliments the RSS Feed quite well.

I say keep the Friends List.

Or ratherhow can I remove those guys I mentioned from the friends list since, I've never added anyone yet? They always appear as friends even though I'venever spoken to these cats once. And because I'm not going to add anyone anytime soon, i was asking "can we do away with friends list?" like, 'can we turn it off/disable it?'

AFAIK, there isn't an existing option to disable it.

I don't understand why this is a problem, considering you've haven't added any friends since you joined 17 months ago.:) You'll see a default list until you add some.

hmm, those random non-friend people appearing in the list is a bit weird... I guess it's just some bad programming on Gamespot's part, maybe something that forces the friend list to be non-empty, but Gamespot should be able to fix it I hope
